Agreed: great facials

Honestly, I was a little turned off when I first entered. It is NOT a spa atmosphere. I don't know if this is a good or bad thing (maybe they're smarter than their competition). However, you do get great service and beware, the ladies are great saleswomen.

Background: I had just given birth to our only child, through a risky pregnancy, which resulted in our near financial ruin. My husband bought me one of their introductory offer packs b/c he worked in the same business complex and was willing to sacrifice his lunch for a week to bring me joy. It was kind-of like a buy-one, get-one offer that seemed pretty generous. However, when I got in there and they started working on me, I forgot my budget. My technician treated me with grace and respect, even when I had to use two credit cards to cover the charges. I may have left broke, but I felt good about myself and received a great treatment.

With that said, the facial was worth every penny and they deserve your business. If I had known how bad my skin was before, I might have been too embarrassed to "show my face" or allow my technician (forgive me, I forget her name) to even bother. My experience was awesome, gentle, informative, professional, and much more. You should go.

The Scene
Hidden in a strip of lackluster office buildings, Tranquility doesn't impress with outside appearances or a grandiose interior. Dermalogica skin-care products fill the small reception area, along with Wholeskin soaps and lip balms made by one of the spa's owners. There are two treatment rooms and a bathroom, and the two owners are the only staff. This intimate atmosphere means they take care to make each customer feel comfortable and relaxed.

The Services
You won't find any hot stone massages or pedicures. Instead, the focus is personalized skin care at affordable prices--facials hover around $90, so you can afford to come back as often as you want. Before each facial, they specially blend herbs and oils for clients' skin types. Treatments relax, but also include a degree of discomfort during the skin's thorough cleansing.

Tranquility has made me a believer

I don't trust just anyone to work with my skin, but I found experience and knowledge at Tranquility. The specialty facial treatments have made an amazing difference in the texture and look of my skin. The microdermabrasion and peel were done with amazing comfort and skill. The Yonka products are first rate and everything is reasonably priced. I know these services at a larger spa would not have been done as well and would have cost twice as much. I'm a believer in the nescessity of caring for your skin and will strive to do everything Heidie has instructed to keep my skin looking great. Heidie and Susan are truly skin care experts.

Best facial in Atlanta, hands down!!!

I have had many facials around Atlanta, especially the popular big name spas, but this takes the cake as far as great facials are concerned! Great price for a basic facial. My skin never felt and looked better coming out of a facial. I have come out of facials breaking out worse than when I went in but not the case here. I feel that Heidi was very attentive and was very helpful about tips with my skin care regimen. I have been facial hopping trying to find "the place" and I think I have found a facial home. She also gave me a nice and detailed brow wax. This is not a fancy place with theme rooms but it is clean, nice and friendly. Be warned, if you want a weekend appointment, book two months in advanced. I am glad to support an independent business with a focus on excellent skin care. This place is a must try!

Best Skincare in Atlanta at the best prices!

I have been going to Heidi for over 2 years now. She has completely transformed my skin. The prices are great because you can actually maintain a program and go once a month. The products are great as well and are never pushed on you. Heidi always gives me lots of samples to try before buying products so that I can make sure things work for me skin before I buy a large size of something. The best part is that I never leave looking blotchy or irritated. I always leave looking better than when I came in. The only downside is that Tranquility is so great that it is hard to get an appointment these days. :-)

Quality service and great atmosphere

I go to Tranquility regularly and I'm always impressed. I've seen Heidi for brow waxes, facials and micro and have been thoroughly satisfied each time. Besides having great hands, she's very attentive to the needs of each client, the atmosphere is soothing and, although they will load you up with samples, they never try to push you to buy any product. I also like that it's just Heidi and Susan, so you get personalized service instead of being treated like a number.

My fave in Atlanta

Whenever I'm in Atlanta, I always make time to get a treatment or two with Susan or Heidie. The facials are top notch and the microdermabrasion body polish is amazing. You'll swear you have new skin. I highly recommend Tranquility.

Great spa - personalized care

This is the best place in Atlanta for a facial! For $50 (not including tip) my facial lasted over an hour. Plus, since it was my first time, Susan gave me a full evaluation of my skin and recommended great products. My skin feels great - highly recommended!

Amazing Results

I scheduled a facial with Heid after hearing all the positve buzz. For $60 I got a 2 hour facial as well as foot reflex treatment. She really took the time to be thorough-something many spas lack. She also loaded me up with samples which I am going back to purchase on my next visit. Thumbs way up to this well-trained positve esthetician who really knows her skin. Did I mention my skin looked absolutely fabulous?!

Everyone should experience the wonderful treatments at Tranquility Skin Care. From the foot treatments to the back treatments to the incredibly aromatic facials it is hard to decide which is my favorite. Your skin will never look better, and the pampering becomes addictive. On top of always giving you her all, Susan gives you the individual, personalized attention that makes you feel like the queen of the spa.
