Horrible Food
by Jamiecdr at Citysearch
We went to the Atlanta Grill with two other couples and none of us plan to return. Although the service was lovely the food was horrible. Every single person out of six of us. The steak was tough and overcooked and all other of the dishes were bland with no taste. I could have cooked a better meal for everyone. The only decent item was a salad and who can not do that????????
Do not try the Atlanta Grill. You will be very disappointed and it is a waist of time. The Ritz Carlton should be ashamed of the food coming out of this restaurant!
Waste of Your Money and Time
by nogood30305 at Citysearch
I brought clients out for what I thought would be an impressive meal but I was sorely disappointed in the food ! The fish was dry and vegetables were limp and too buttery. Everyone agreed that the overall taste of the food was bland and unappealing. I would never come here again and would recommend to others to do the same. There are way to many great restaurants in Atlanta to waste your time and money here.
Bad Hamburgers
by jmagoo999 at Citysearch
I dropped in before an important meeting and ordered the cheeseburger. $17.00 is a little pricey, but the server said it was good. He was wrong. For that price, I want a very good burger. I won't be back. He also said the vodka was a "large pour" For $12.00. He was wrong again. It was a 2.5 oz pour, about the smallest you can get.

Just terrible
by jillly33 at Citysearch
A visiting friend from out of town staying at the Ritz Carlton treated us to dinner at this restaurant, a first time experience for all three in our party. Considering the reputation of the hotel, our expectations were that the restaurant would be of similar quality. The motif is lovely; the service was prompt and polite; the wine list was extensive; the food was dreadful. We had mussels in a salty bacon broth that were tiny and overcooked. Unfortunately, this was the only item we complained to the staff about. My stuffed raviolis were just boring; I make a better red sauce at home and I'm a terrible cook. The lobster was also overcooked and somehow watery. The other entree ordered was the lamb, which was mediocre. A very disappointing dining experience, considering the bill total. There are 100s of far better restaurants in Atlanta at similar or lower price. We won't be back. The Ritz should really be ashamed of itself.
Less than expected

Bloody Mary served after she crab soup. She crab soup had good lumps of crab but also some lumps of flour (dumplings?) Bread with pannini was stale. Rolls were tough and stale. Service was uneven. $10 for a bloody mary! Having eaten lunch at Bones, Capital Grill, and McCormicks, I won't be back.
Good service, average food
by trailmonkey at Citysearch
We dropped in because I had read reviews and thought the concept sounded great. It is really a small neighborhood type restaurant and the decor is quite intimate and fun. I just don't think the food was that great and was overpriced for what you got. Maybe we ordered the wrong things, but we decided that it wouldn't be a place we would try again. They did serve a mean margarita!
Surly service and wrinkled linen
by violetinfinite at Citysearch
We certainly didn't expect the RitzCarlton to have wrinkled linen table cloths. Some were poorly pressed and others not pressed at all. Our waiter was so surly as to assure us we were a great intrusion on his time. He was rude to guests when they asked questions about the menu, dropped rather than placed silverware on the table and had to be asked by each person separately for ground pepper. While my filet mignon was excellent, my friend's chicken was tough and another friend's vermicelli was inedible. Overall, a disappointment for what should have been a lovely evening.
- Pros: Valets were excellent and ambience is lovely
- Cons: Surly waiter and unpressed linens
Excellent Food and service
by katieanddustin at Citysearch
Our first experience at the Atlanta Grill was an excellent one. We went to celebrate a birthday and the staff made sure it was extra special. The menu choices were phenomenal; though gourmet in character, the food was not overly fussy, and the portions were generous. The sommelier was readily available to offer a wine suggestion to pair with each of our meals. Overall, The Atlanta Grill is a spectacular place to go for good food and a quiet, upscale atmosphere.
- Pros: fabulous food, excellent service
- Cons: small dining room
Downtown Ritz-Carlton's classy dining room serves up New Southern fare.
by Contributor at Citysearch
The Scene
Art deco meets the French Quarter in the Atlanta Grill, housed in the downtown Ritz-Carlton. Vintage black-and-white photographs of the city commingle with tony booths and richly colored wall murals. The wrought-iron veranda, bedecked with flickering lanterns, is perfect for watching the crowds below on Peachtree Street.
The Food
On this menu of New Southern offerings, gems include a flavorful gumbo; a lively salad of blue cheese, spiced pecans and grapes; and a delicate striped bass paired with elegant fingerling potatoes. Stick with simpler entrees, like the free-range veal chop or filet mignon with bearnaise sauce. Waits between courses may be long, though a warm fruit crisp with sour cream ice cream brings the meal to a satisfying and delectable close.
Dining in Heaven
by roswelldiner at Citysearch
First this place has great seafood. The halibut was seared to perfection and the pork porterhouse was a pleasant.
Nothing compares to the one on one time you can spend with you dining partner in Atlantas only cheaters booth. This is the best place to dine and fun some adult fun
Don't miss it.
