Impressive Gift
by lanky_sara at Citysearch
I was already impressed when my sister gave me a gift certificate for the Spa At Peachtree Center Athletic Club, but what can I say? She loves me! When I got off the elevator and took a look around, i was even more impressed -- neatly uniformed young man (with manners!) directed me to my destination, another polite woman walked me to my destination when I passed it. Once inside the spa, I was happy to see that everybody was on time -- caus I HATE to be kept waiting. Then, I spent 2 of the best hours of my life wnder the care of Sister Carolyn. No, she's not a nun, but her hands were heavenly! I am a convert and will make this a regular stop, from now on.
- Pros: Massage is the BEST! Facials, manicures, pedicures all worth the money.
- Cons: This is a huge club. The spa should stand out more.
I'm In LOVE!

I like to think that I take good care of myself, and that I can appreciate and value good bodywork. I want to commend both of the massage therapists who worked on me. Chaye Wise and Sister Carolyn were strong spiritual women who found the pain and the calm in my body with their excellent techniques. Oh, and thanks Mary! My feet have never looked or felt so polished and beautiful. Got to say, my experience at the Spa left me feeling wonderful, and I LOVE it!
- Pros: Convenient, good hours and easy availability
- Cons: They don't live at my house!
Athletes and nine-to-fivers seek relief inside a bustling downtown gym.

The Scene
Across from the free weights, and next to a glass-walled room full of aerobic junkies, this club spa could pass as a hotel gift store. The lobby is plain, but once under the spell of an intent and practiced masseuse--surrounded by fresh flowers and new-age music--you could be in any pampering day spa.
The Services
Hurried execs pop in for a 45-minute stress buster or a 15-minute chair massage, while weary joggers camp out for the 90-minute sports massage. Worldly spa-goers dip into the Thai, aromatherapy and hot stone massages. Facials, such as the deep cleansing and gentleman's, bring gentle clarity to the skin; if you're short on time, try a half-hour mini. Gym members are known to stop in for a post-workout manicure, pedicure, wax or tan.
The Details
Massage, facials, hair removal, manicure/pedicure.
