The words "dingy" and "dive" are taken as compliments here at this old school music venue.

The Scene
This is not a lounge or pub. This is a good old-fashioned bar that meets all the requirements: rough-looking clientele, friendly bartenders and comforting drinks. Lenny's straddles both sides of the tracks. Its low-slung doublewide exudes a grungy down-home feel, but the bar attracts the occasional college kid or white-collar worker. A small stage, which sometimes serves as a dance floor, takes up one half; the bar and pool tables fill the other. A patio, with its occasional bar, provides an equally sketchy outdoor alternative.
The Draw
Lenny's is one of a dying breed of dives where you can wind down without pretense. When Lenny's changed from Dottie's, its fans took a deep breath and hoped nothing would change. It hasn't. During the day, the regulars still preside. Nights continue to draw divergent crowds with house Monday, hip-hop Tuesday, karaoke Wednesday and various overdriven live music Thursday through Saturday.
good place to see a band

I personally wouldnt call this a "dive bar". Sure it looks pretty bad on the outside but everytime i've been there its pretty much the same type of crowd...kinda like what you might find at The Local except with live music. This isnt a bad thing, but definitely not a dive bar crowd. Personally, though, I wouldnt want to be walking around this area after dark but maybe thats just me. Anyway, theres a small area to watch live bands play, a couple of pool tables, 5 or 6 different beers on draft. It seems to start getting pretty busy at about 12am, but in my experience the bands seem to go on early...like around 9 pm. I would definitely recommend going here, especially since they are moving to a new location soon.
- Pros: good crowd
- Cons: sketchy area
