No-pretense music clubs and shady dives make Little Five a great break-out-of-your-rut destination.

The Setting
Haight-Ashbury lands in Atlanta. The trippy town square plays home to dreadlocked drummers and snoozing mutts. All around it, tattoo parlors, head shops and vintage boutiques pulse behind psychedelic storefronts. At night, hard-drinkin' bars and rowdy live music clubs take over. Expect the occasional homeless heckler, but don't let 'em scare you--this is one of Atlanta's favorite neighborhoods.

The Bars
Varying from slightly shady to downright scary, the bars of Little Five Points give the city's punks, freaks and stoners a place to call home, but you're just as likely to spot a Va-Hi preppy chowing down on burgers at the Vortex or drinking beers on the patio at the Brewhouse. Live music passes for religion in Little Five: The Star Bar's always good for a rockabilly show, and Variety Playhouse is arguably the coolest place in town to see a concert.

I personally love little five points the stores are great the people are freindly although I wouldn`t recomend you bringing your kids I suggest you check it out. Some people may disagree but it depends on your style. I suggest little five points if you like to shop at hot topic or spencers stores like that not american eagle or abercrombie. Little five points is not a bad place it just depends on what your into and what you like.

L5 is not scary

The only thing scary about Little Five is the parking, that and the suburbanites wandering around all wide-eyed on the weekends. Get around the gawkers, and you'll find great boutiques (new and used clothing, gifts, books etc).

Funky, not fun

If your adverse to individuals who look as if they just stepped out of a 1980's rock video, complete with all leather outfits, chains, scary make-up, spiked or outrageously colored hair, this is not the place to shop. I found this place to be not all that exciting, pretty scary overall, and not a place I would ever recommend someone going to without being with a group of people. Be prepared to be talked to offensively, touched or followed. Very unnerving shopping area.
