I've had two experiences with Cabernet. The first time I went with 3 other people and the place was empty. I mean empty. We were snottly asked if we had a reservation. The server was rude and the food was ok. Several years later I returned with my husband. At Christmas we were given a gift certificate for a meal at Cabernet. A few months later we went to Cabernet. My husband told the manager (who was seating people) we had a gift certificate. He would not honor it. He said it could be a copy since it wasn't in an envelope. Obviously,it was authentic. So the person who bought our gift certificate in essence was robbed. I will never go back.

Pros: None

Cons: Snotty staff, will not honor gift certificates, food is just ok,valet parking unnecessary

My boyfriend and I went to dinner at Cabernet. We expected a lot more. We dine out a lot and do not mind paying for quality service, wine, and food. We were sat at a table for 6-8 people and it was only the 2 of us. The hostess promised we would be comfortable but we were not. The 2 servers we had were clearly not trained for fine dining but now I know Cabernet is NOT a fine dining establishment. It took 15 minutes to get our wine, water, and bread. The lobster bisque was very salty. The steak was below average. We think the grill needs to be cleaned off because the charred edges had a bad flavor. At the end of the meal, one of the servers cleared the table by stacking our plates so high that another staff member had to come to her rescue. We hardly ate our entrees and neither server inquired why. After our credit card was processed the other server came over and handed us the dessert menu. They communicated like this through the entire meal. A lot of the guests were in jeans and one lady was in a sweat shirt. I guess they do not have a dress code. It was a very LAME experience and we do not intend to go back.

Pros: I never have to go back!!

Cons: staff, ambiance, food

Well I read the reviews and took the advise of friends. Cabernet is just 'okay' I would not put it in the upper echelon of steakhouses though. Stick with Charley's or The Capitol Grille for the same price, and you'll see what I mean. Cab had good appetizers (fried lobster tail, great) and a good looking menu. Disappointed in the server (didn't appear to know the menu/wine menu), the au gratin had no flavor, obviously heavy whipping cream (just no taste at all), the Filet was average (comparable to Outback or the like). For real, if you are looking for THE best, top notch steak house, go to Capitol Grille or Charley's (Tampa, Orlando). I won't be going to Cabernet in the future, unless someone else is buying....!

Pros: dark decor, valet, live music in the bar....

Cons: staff did not know the menu, overpriced (I'm not being cheap, I'm just sayin..) food average (Outback like)

Top notch food and service. The entertainment in the bar Weds-Sat is awesome. Best steakhouse in town!

Cabernet Steakhouse is the "buzz of the town." I went there with my husband for the first time on Wednesday night. I can't tell you how much fun we had. We didn't have a reservation (not needed) so we went to the bar and had a glass of wine while listening to the LIVE JAZZ BAND! They were intertaining and gave it a good atmosphere. Later, we got seated to a lovely table in the "fireplace room." We were seated promptly and were served immediatly. I got Smoked Salmon and it was very tasty!!- cooked to perfection. My husband got a fillet and it was delicious too! We shared our meals with each other so I got a taste of both. I highly reccomend Cabernet Steakhouse. It gives a New york steakhouse feeling. Its nice to see a nice resturant in Alpharetta so we don't have to drive all the way to Atlanta for a great meal!

Pros: Valet Parking, great service, and great atmosphere!

Cons: NONE!! We love Cabernet!

This past weekend, my husband and I took some friends to dinner at Cabernet in Alpharetta. We had received a gift certificate a while back as a gift and decided this would be a good time to use it. We gave our waiter the certificate when the bill came. After a few minutes, a woman came over, apparently one of the managers and told us that our certificate was no longer valid. I asked her why because it had no expiration date on it. She said that the ownership had changed and they were no longer honoring the older gift certificates. We tried to explain to her that they should still honor it since it clearly has the restaurant's name on it and there is no expiration date. She was extremely rude and said something about having problems with theft of their gift certificates, implying we had stolen it. It was for $100 and was a gift that someone had spent their money on. Then the other manager came over, Gilberto Castro. He was very rude as well and offered no explanation that was valid. Finally he came back to the table with another $100 gift card! We were furious because we don't plan on going back there ever again. We did not understand why they could not just honor our original one. We had been to Cabernet many times before and spent a lot of money there. However, we will not ever return and will be sure to tell everyone we know what poor management and customer service they have.

Pros: Decent food

Cons: Highly priced, poor management, stuffy atmosphere

While Cabernet may be clearly on the pricy side of things as restaurants go, you will know where that money is going the second you bite into one of their juicy, succulent steaks. My mouth is watering just thinking about the last time I ate there, and it was about two weeks ago. The service is amazing -- these guys will do just about anything you want. Ask for Fernando or Jesus. They also have a great selection at the bar and a full array of cigars, if you like that sort of thing (and who doesn't?).

Pros: Quiet, classy affair

Cons: pricy

took my girlfreind there for prom, and all i can say is wow, the service was great, i couldnt of ask for a better place, the servers were great, and i had it arranaged were we had a private area, in the fireplace room, and the executive chef came out and greated me and personaly made my dish, I highly recemend this to anyone, especially for dates its a bit expenisve, cost us 80$ for the 2 of us, but then again we had a apatizer, ceasar salads, and amazing entrees, and to top everything off they gave us a complimentry desert because of the occasion, it was a amzing brownie with ice cream on top, and amazing presentation. overal great take ur closest love won there, and ask to sit in a booth in the fireplace room u will love it thanks, Michael Jordan

Pros: Service,, Food,, romantic

We walked into Cabernet on a Tuesday night without a reservation. We were seated promptly, and our drink orders were brought quickly. The food was very good. I had a spinach salad (dressed perfectly) and the Tuna entree. The tuna was cooked to perfection and the sauce was light and citrus-flavored -- excellent. The deserts were good as well -- we tried the chocolate torte and cheesecake. The only bad thing I can say is that they could try a little harder with the atmosphere and lighting, but overall, I recommend Cabernet and will return when I am in the area again.
