This is my favorite spot for live music with unrehearsed underground entertainment. A true musicians spot with the unexpected B-Side on Wednesday nights after 11 pm. healthy and affordable food and good music. As must do in Atlanta on hump-day.
Cool Spot - But Your Car Will Get Broken In To
by AtlantaBarbie
February 08, 2008
I love this spot, but my car has been broken into 2 times within 3 months here. One night over 20 cars were robbed in the lot right behind the club. There are dudes walking around waiting for u to get out, knowing u wont be back for hours.
Dont leave anything of value in or on your car, it will not be there when u get back and your car lock will be broken. Mine was... twice.
There is no security, no parking - and No Valet.
- Pros: Cool Spot, Good Music Drinks and Food
- Cons: Your Car Will Get Broken Into - No Parking
Great funky kind of place to go. Reminds me of "the Village" in NYC back in the day.

Go early to get a seat and make sure you eat before you go. Wear jeans and hang out. Good local venue where you don't have to get dressed up. The place is small so be prepared to be up-close and personal with everyone in the room! The crowd changes as the music changes. I enjoy it for what it is, a place to go when you don't want to go home and want to hear music.
- Pros: fun and funky
- Cons: small
Alex Skolnick Trio

On May 19th the Apache Cafe will be one of the hotest place to be! The Alex Sklonick Trio will be performing there. This place has class and appeal every day, and Alex and the guys are going to take that one notch higher. Be sure not to miss it! A little about the band: Introducing Last Day In Paradise - the latest album by the Alex Skolnick Trio. Featuring seven originals and three arrangements of rock/metal standards (a concept upon which the trio has built a formidable reputation), LDIP is their most unique and cutting edge recording to date.
For this album, the group has gone beyond the traditional trio format, incorporating voice, slide guitar, loops, and other sonic embelishments, enhancing the strong, melodic compositions. Also included are a Latin arrangement of the Testament anthem Practice What You Preach and an electonica inspired version of the Rush classic Tom Sawyer- both incorporating modern jazz harmony.
- Pros: Friendly staff, outgoing people, great live music
Soulful live music cafe splashes a fresh face on Midtown's uniform-prone scene.

The Scene
There's an underground allure at this sultry Midtown sanctum just a few blocks from hectic Crescent Avenue. The lights are dim, the furniture worn, the wall art slightly spiritual, and the vibe intellectually free. During the day, Bob Marley wails in the background, while college students and Bohemian-chic couples sip coffee or Corona at cafe-style tables. Jazz and hip-hop lovers file in after 10pm for Apache's nocturnal fun. The crowd spills into the cozy back nook, where cushy seating keeps things intimate.
The Draw
Apache scores big for dropping a new scene in trend-weary Midtown. Experimental jazz jams, spoken word performances, open mics and local hip-hop and funk acts light up the stage when the sun goes down. The Tex-Mex menu of fresh tacos, burritos and quesadillas pulls adventurous Midtown professionals and Tech kids for lunch and dinner.
Soul Music Lives!

I miss Yin Yang, but I'm satisfied with the Apache Cafe. An intimate gathering of new, upcoming artists and well established artists too. Just the right amount of space, you can view artwork, sip on a drink, vibe to Neo-soul, House, World Music and more. One of my favorite venues to chill!
- Pros: great location!
- Cons: n/a
Apache Cafe Scores Big With Stockbridge

I recently visited the Apache Cafe and was knocked off my feet. This place has a neosoul feel that oozed with creativity and an atmosphere that welcomed almost every spirit into it. I felt that I had finally found a spot where I could just be. The food was great! The live band was great! The service was good! I intend to frequent this club on a regular basis from this point on.
- Pros: welcoming atmosphere, creativity, great food
Neosoul in Atlanta

I just got back from Apache on a Wednesday night, it was open mic night. Any artist could sing any song, mostly older soul covers (e.g. Teddy Pendagrass, Jodeci, Al Jarreau), to the incredible band. Some artists were good, others bad but the band was incredible. I'd rather just listen to the band get funky than have to take a chance with the next singer.
- Pros: Neosoul Favorite, Relaxed Atmosphere, Great Band
- Cons: Sometime Bad Artists, Little to No Seating

Apache Cafe (located in Midtown Atlanta) has great live entertainment almost everyday of the week. You can catch D.J.'s, spoken word presentations and live bands, there is something different going on each night. The place is really small but it's not bothersome because you end up having a really great time.
thank you!

I love this place! It's great. No other place like it in town. It captures everything I enjoy and also inspires me beyond... I used to go to the Yin Yang and it was cool, but Apache is just better. I can actually sit, dance, eat, pool, vibe & enjoy myself. It seems like they put more love and energy into this effort than before...it shows. I have been numerous times and everything they do is of a high quality. I don't get caught up in the politics of the club/music scene, I'm just a music, art, & food lover and they do a fantastic job. DJs Kemit &Justin on Saturdays...What!!!!Yesss!!!
- Pros: music, art, atmosphere
- Cons: seating
