I started going to Super Jenny's after a co-worker invited me to join her for lunch. It was delicious. Every day, they have a new menu, and everything is fantastic. My favorite is the Dad's Turkey Chili and the Shrimp and Crab Bisque. They are the friendliest staff, and always make my day that much better when I walk through the door. It's always nice to sit outside, but on the chilly days in Atlanta, they have seating inside as well. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. Also, they say it's cash only, but they take checks too. I wouldn't spend $12 on a lunch anywhere else! Even though that may seem pricey to some, it's a large helping, so there are always leftovers. See for yourself and enjoy!
Pros: Friendly staff, fresh and delicious foods, in the heart of buckhead
Cons: parking, sometimes if they have a hot item on their menu, they run out... so the earlier you go, the better

Ate there this time last year, food was ok. Now its not even ok. lentil veggie soup is nothing special just like a soup from Campbell with a few spices. Nothing really specail about this place, except great customer service but that you will always get in Buckhead restaurant. I ate there last week with a friend and she wasnt impressed. The name is catchy, but the food is short of being special or even belonging to the Buckhead fancy restaurants. More like a dive with unrealistic prices....If all restaurants are full in Buckhead, this can be your last resort soup stop.
Pros: great service
Cons: bad food,nothing wow!

Souper Jenny has some great soups, don't get me wrong, but they are not the best. The best in Atlanta belong to Chef Marty White of Sops on Ellis. I am yet to try soups that match the creativity and flavor of Sops.
Pros: Nice location; Great tasting soup
Cons: none

Souper Jenny is close to my office, and I'm always looking for an excuse to have lunch there! The food is incredibly fresh, amazingly tasty, and relatively healthy. Quite possibly my overall favorite restaurant in Atlanta, and that's saying a lot! The one downside - the crowds!!! If you try to eat there at high noon, you'll be waiting in line with Buckhead Bettys galore, and the dining room can be packed. The employees are cheerfully flaky, but very friendly and knowledgeable, though they rarely do a good job of moving customers through the line quickly. Try eating early or late, though the restaurant does tend to run out of items later in the day. Sunday brunch is great too (and usually not so crowded), but beware an influx of post-church Buckhead mommies and daddies with their noisy rugrats. Did I mention that the food is spectacular?!
Pros: Incredible food!
Cons: The crowds - adults on weekdays, hetero families on weekends.

I tried this restaurant after reading about in the AJC. When I went there, none of the soups sounded appealing to me, but I gave it a try. So di my daughter who is a very picky either and not willing to try much out of her comfort zone. Our soups were amazing! I had Everything Vegetable and she had My Daddy's Turkey Chilli. I tried hers and she tried mine (she is not a veggie eater). We both were impressed with both soups. We will definitely go back to try more.
Pros: good eating, reasonable price
Cons: Too far from my house

Whenever we have friends come in from out of town, we have to take them to Souper Jenny. It's not some chain restaurant that everyone has been to and the food is great.
Pros: Great food
Cons: Long Line

food was not what i expected im a huge fan of metro fresh and was told souper jennys was even better not even close. Metro fresh caters to people who want a low fat meal fast and fresh, souper jennys can't even get that idea in the same ballpark. will never eat there Again.....
Pros: Service
Cons: Bad food

I visit Souper Jenny at least 3 or 4 times per week - sometimes more. The food, the setting and the entertainment are nothing short of stellar! Perfect! Delicious! I typically order the $10 lunch, which is more like "the $10 lunch n’ dinner" b/c they give you SO MUCH food! A homemade soup, salad & dessert, a fresh multigrain roll, a piece of fruit and a drink for $10 flat? You won’t get that at a nasty chain deli or anywhere else for that matter! Today I ordered my second favorite soup, tomato basil with artichoke. (My #1 is the chicken tortilla soup. Try it, fall in love with it, you'll want to eat it and quite possibly bathe in it every day—that’s my fantasy, anyway). Instead of a salad or sandwich I chose something I've never eaten before, a gorgeous red tomato stuffed with ceviche. This little gem of goodness can only be described as THE YUMMIEST THING EVER! I also got a mocha brownie thingie that made me want to spank my momma. (Seriously Momma, why don’t you make desserts this good?) And I got a daily meditation. And I got a song courtesy of the saucy red head behind the counter! What did I do to deserve all this?? In summary, the folks at Souper Jenny must stop treating me so well b/c I'm quickly becoming a demanding, borderline obnoxious food snob. I want only the freshest, healthiest, most delicious food available—and that’s why I eat at Souper Jenny so often.
Pros: great food, great sevice, long line at lunch moves fast
Cons: long line at lunch

With Fall in the air, and leaves turning, our tummies turn also at lunch time. The owner Jennifer Levinson, does it all. She's a mother, actress, and one good soup maker. As my Bubie always said, "If you can't make soup, you can't cook". Well Jenny knows. The ladies who lunch crowd, love her Turkey Chili. But just give me her classic Matzo Ball Soup, anytime. Have a salad, half-sandwich, and you have a great little home-made lunch. So arrive early, or late, the lines are long.
Pros: Comfy Home-made Soups, Salads, & Sandwiche's
Cons: Lines Get Long At LunchTime!
