The Only Brazilian Steakhouse To Dine!
by honeybronzed17
September 08, 2007
This is by far the best Brazilian Steakhouse! I highly advise you to avoid trying to cut costs by going to knock-off Brazilian steakhouses. You will be disppointed! My husband and I have gone at least 8 times and have ALWAYS been very satisfied with Fogo. Service is impeccable. The food is seasoned to perfection. You can't go wrong with Fogo! I was prompted to write this review today, because my husband and I just left another so-called Brazilian restaurant extremely upset to say the least. We never have to put any seasonings on our food when we dine at Fogo. Salt & Pepper didn't help this steakhouse. We were trying to avoid the Buckhead traffic due to special events this weekend. We were in the Perimeter Mall area and he was craving meat! We're still kicking ourselves that we didn't just opt for another day since we couldn't do Fogo's.
- Pros: Food is seasoned to perfection
- Cons: Location
If you go, get Matt as your Server, that guy really Cares!!

Okay so I went there, and I was impressed. I got seated by the fire, which was a lovely delight to accent our meal. It was me and my girlfriend, on a busy busy Saturday night. I expected great food, as I've heard from all my friends that this place has awesome meat. But what I soon realized, is that when you describe a place to people, you tend to focus on what they offer, and what their best meals are. You tend to miss out on telling your friends or coworkers what the service is like. The service at Fogo De Chao was impeccable. I mean truly outstanding. I was not only impressed but I could only wish that if people worked like they did at Fogo everywhere in the United States, the US would be the best place on Earth! My server had his hands full, with seemingly like 8 or 9 tables, and you could see him truly care. He would eye a last bite of a plate, and not just walk over to the plates to offer a new plate, he would run. Literally the guy/kid (he looks pretty young) would eye a soon-to-be empty plate and run to replace it.
What truly made it an experience, was when I said that I like lamb, and he asked me in a sincere voice, which I'd like to try first, the leg of lamb, or the lamb chop! I said the lamb chop sounded good, and he didn't just stop there, he asked me how I liked it, well done, medium, I told him how I liked it and Woof! I felt like I was a King giving an order! His pace was very fast, checking the other tables quickly, but then you see him swing by the corner by the salad bar, and whole heartedly start speed walking (as fast as some people can run), just to get me Mint Sauce to try. He said it goes well with the lamb chop and leg of lamb, and that he thought I'd enjoy it. I didn't even ask for it lol! I am a lambchop lover now! and LambChops at Fogo are unbeatable, especially with the mint sauce! My girlfriend is so impressed by the friendliness of not just our server, but most of the gauchos as well. Some seemed in a hurry, but others were awesome because they'd run, and as they were within 1 foot of the table, they'd act like they were just gently gliding, and slowly offer the meat to us. It was awesome service. So if you go there, have the cremebrulee (one of Matt's highly suggested recommendations) for dessert, and ask for some mint sauce for the lambchops. And dig in. And ask for Matt- I've never had a server like that, but then again maybe every server is that good there. He's the first one I had. I usually don't ask for a guys name at the end of a meal, but he was just that awesome, that I have to brag about him. My girlfriend and I loved it, and will definitely be back. Thanks Fogo De Chao.
- Pros: Excellent Meats, Amazing Service, Aged Cheeses
- Cons: In a county where taxes are 8%....

The service was beyond incredible, the waiters are so friendly and eager to cater to your every need. The salad bar is awesome! I LOVE THEIR CHICKEN SALAD! As for the meal, I am absolutely amazed by their cheesy bread! It was unlike any other! So soft and warm and just melts in your mouth! There's an amazing selection of meat and it's all-you-can-eat! So you better come HUN-GRY! And trust me, you WILL BE SATISFIED for DAYS! My favorite is definitely the filet mignon wrapped in bacon! Overall, the experience was truly beyond amazing.. I didn't even want to leave the restaurant! Me and my boyfriend will definitely be going back there soon! It is our ultimate favorite place to dine!

Each and every time I come to Atlanta, this is on the top of my list of places to go. The service is amazing, and only surpassed by the quality of the food. The salad bar could stand as a meal on its own, but why would you stop there, when the smell of the grilled meat is irresistable? From the chicken wrapped in bacon to the baby lamb chops, each meat presented by the gauchos is flavorful and filling. Make sure you're hungry, as it is the ultimate "all you can eat experience". I could sustain life indefinately on just the lamb chops alone.

THE BEST FOOD I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE

Fogo is easily the best food I've ever eaten. The Brazilian style meats are cooked over open fire to PERFECTION. The meal is decadent and perfect for a first date, second date and every date if you can afford it. The meats are five star quality meats, this is not Golden Coral, it's a five-star resturant that feeds you until you surrender, and believe me you will surrender. When you are served, you can tell them how you like it... if the meat is too rare you can tell them 'well done' and they will make it for you. They will prepare every cut to your satisfaction, no matter how many times you ask them to bring it more or less well done. This place is a meat lover's paradise! Why pay $40-$50 for a 9 oz. filet when you can go to Fogo and get every cut they have for a coupla bucks more?
**The service is amazing, every employee in the establishment will serve you hand and foot.
**The food is DEVINE
**The place leaves nothing more to be desired, if Fogo De Chao does not please you, nothing can.
Tips...
**Don't fill up on the salad bar, you're not really paying for the lettuce
**Go with the regular meats, stay away from the 'Garlic meats'
**The best beef cuts are: Picha?a, Bottom Serloin, Filet,
**Take the lambchops medium rare
**Try everything on the menu once, but don't eat the stuff you don't like, just have them take it away
**THE MOST IMPORTANT THING**
**ASK FOR EVERYTHING YOU WANT, IT WILL MAKE THEM HAPPY TO PLEASE YOU**
**DON'T BE SHY, YOU ARE THERE FOR THE EXPERIENCE, DON'T CHEAT THEM OUT OF THE OPPERTUNITY TO PROVIDE THE BEST POSSIBLE EXPERIENCE FOR YOU.**

Compare Brazilian

Compare Fogo De Chao to Texas De Brazil. Claim to be the same, but Texas De Brazil is much better and worth the money. Fogo De Chao is more expensive, meat all taste the same and salad bar nothing special. Service was good although it seems they were always in a hurry to beat the other servers to your table. Restaurant was clean and staff was friendly. If you are looking for a great meal then drive past Fogo De Chao and find a Texas De Brazil!
