All u can Eat Meat & the Salad bar is good too!
by QueSaraiSarai at Citysearch
I've been to a few of these Brazillian steak houses and Fogo is the best thus far. Their meats are so tender, juicy, and just plain yummy. They are really fair when it comes to children too. For those who aren't big meat eaters but come to a place like this, the salad bar is nothing to scoff at. I love the palm hearts and artichokes they serve up. Seasoned red & yellow bell peppers, cheese, breads, endives, giant asparagus, procuitto and more... It is expensive, but I think it's worth it.
- Pros: Good tasting meats
- Cons: Expensive
Not totally impressed

OK. I'm gonna shoot you straight!!!!
If you are a meat lover, you will really enjoy yourself. I'm certain if there is a such thing as having had a previous life, I was a T-Rex. I LOVE MEAT and good food, but I didn't enjoy all of the selections of meat. I really enjoyed the Bottom Cut Sirloin, Parmesan Pork, Filet and Bacon-wrapped Chicken. I was surprised that I did not like the Ribeye as much, since it's one of my favorite steaks and I was totally disappointed with the Pork Ribs and sausage (which I looked forward to the most) and I just didn't enjoy anything about the lamb.
My conflict in eating at any "all you can eat" is that I want to eat far beyond my normal amounts to feel I've gotten my monies worth. Here, considering the cost per person, I attached an extra stomach. At the same time I didn't want to waste the meats I sampled but did not enjoy, so I was stuffed long before I could enjoy a second round of my favorites.
The staff from valet and hostesses to the servers and bartenders were simply amazing and wonderful people, very eager to make your experience the best ever. My trouble with Fogo is the side dishes offered during our meal (only three) and the unbelievably RESTRICTED selection of the salad bar. It was probably the smallest "bar" I've ever seen and many of the items filling it had nothing to do with my type of salad. Although I didn't really care because I came primarily for the meat, my wife does not eat meat and came for the salad. Many reviews spoke highly of the salad bar being wonderful, but there must have been another that we did not see during our visit. You don't expect a $25 salad bar to be this limited, especially when you could go to Ruby Tuesday's or even Golden Coral and have a great salad for a third of the price.
I love having both my meat and sides dancing on my taste buds together, so to only be offered mashed potatoes, fried corn meal and fried plantains was disappointing. If there were other choices, we were never told about them nor did we see any other table receive something different. All in all it was a great EXPERIENCE, and while I would probably eat here again, it won't be any time soon. There are many restaurants I enjoy for far less that what it costs experience Fogo.
- Pros: Loads of meat selections, awesome staff
- Cons: Unbelievably restricted salad bar and side dish offerings.

I have been to the piedmont location two time and fell in love all over again. Dont fill up on the salad bar eat all the meat you would like to experience. Take your time dont eat to fast and be prepared to have an overstuffed stomach. The servers and staff are pleasent and always willing to help you in anyway that they can even during busy periods
- Pros: everything about this place is a pro except...
- Cons: a little pricey but you pay for what you get
Go hungry!!

We recently went to Fogo in Atlanta while we were there on vacation. I had been told by a friend that I had to check it out and boy was she right! The food was amazing and there was so much of it! The salad bar was filled with items that are not normally found on a salad bar and was so yummy! The meats were all cooked perfectly and the sides were also wonderful. We had the signature desert, the papya cream and words can't even describe how good this was! The price is very expensive, to me anyway, but the food, service, and experience was well worth it. The service that was provided by the waiters was also great. I never wanted for anything!
- Pros: food was great and there was lots of it
- Cons: cost
If you go, get Matt as your Server, that guy really Cares!!

Okay so I went there, and I was impressed. I got seated by the fire, which was a lovely delight to accent our meal. It was me and my girlfriend, on a busy busy Saturday night. I expected great food, as I've heard from all my friends that this place has awesome meat. But what I soon realized, is that when you describe a place to people, you tend to focus on what they offer, and what their best meals are. You tend to miss out on telling your friends or coworkers what the service is like. The service at Fogo De Chao was impeccable. I mean truly outstanding. I was not only impressed but I could only wish that if people worked like they did at Fogo everywhere in the United States, the US would be the best place on Earth! My server had his hands full, with seemingly like 8 or 9 tables, and you could see him truly care. He would eye a last bite of a plate, and not just walk over to the plates to offer a new plate, he would run. Literally the guy/kid (he looks pretty young) would eye a soon-to-be empty plate and run to replace it.
What truly made it an experience, was when I said that I like lamb, and he asked me in a sincere voice, which I'd like to try first, the leg of lamb, or the lamb chop! I said the lamb chop sounded good, and he didn't just stop there, he asked me how I liked it, well done, medium, I told him how I liked it and Woof! I felt like I was a King giving an order! His pace was very fast, checking the other tables quickly, but then you see him swing by the corner by the salad bar, and whole heartedly start speed walking (as fast as some people can run), just to get me Mint Sauce to try. He said it goes well with the lamb chop and leg of lamb, and that he thought I'd enjoy it. I didn't even ask for it lol! I am a lambchop lover now! and LambChops at Fogo are unbeatable, especially with the mint sauce! My girlfriend is so impressed by the friendliness of not just our server, but most of the gauchos as well. Some seemed in a hurry, but others were awesome because they'd run, and as they were within 1 foot of the table, they'd act like they were just gently gliding, and slowly offer the meat to us. It was awesome service. So if you go there, have the cremebrulee (one of Matt's highly suggested recommendations) for dessert, and ask for some mint sauce for the lambchops. And dig in. And ask for Matt- I've never had a server like that, but then again maybe every server is that good there. He's the first one I had. I usually don't ask for a guys name at the end of a meal, but he was just that awesome, that I have to brag about him. My girlfriend and I loved it, and will definitely be back. Thanks Fogo De Chao.
- Pros: Excellent Meats, Amazing Service, Aged Cheeses
- Cons: In a county where taxes are 8%....
I love this place.

THE ABSOLUTE BEST FOOD & DINING EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD!
by Dynara at Citysearch
The service was beyond incredible, the waiters are so friendly and eager to cater to your every need. The salad bar is awesome! I LOVE THEIR CHICKEN SALAD! As for the meal, I am absolutely amazed by their cheesy bread! It was unlike any other! So soft and warm and just melts in your mouth! There's an amazing selection of meat and it's all-you-can-eat! So you better come HUN-GRY! And trust me, you WILL BE SATISFIED for DAYS! My favorite is definitely the filet mignon wrapped in bacon! Overall, the experience was truly beyond amazing.. I didn't even want to leave the restaurant! Me and my boyfriend will definitely be going back there soon! It is our ultimate favorite place to dine!
- Pros: FOOD, SERVICE, ATMOSPHERE
- Cons: Price
Best beef in town
by purplevixen at Citysearch
Each and every time I come to Atlanta, this is on the top of my list of places to go. The service is amazing, and only surpassed by the quality of the food. The salad bar could stand as a meal on its own, but why would you stop there, when the smell of the grilled meat is irresistable? From the chicken wrapped in bacon to the baby lamb chops, each meat presented by the gauchos is flavorful and filling. Make sure you're hungry, as it is the ultimate "all you can eat experience". I could sustain life indefinately on just the lamb chops alone.
