Great dancing.....terrible drinks
by masynergy
THis place is great if your a girl, meaning you dont have to pay for drinks. 2 drinks will cost you $20 and they are SMALL AND WEAK. Great atmosphere, awesome dance floor, lots of security, overally a pretty cool place but be prepared to spend alot of money.
- Pros: Girls, security, dancing
- Cons: High cover charge, weak expensive drinks

by TheRealest88
Ok people I’m going to give you the good the bad and the ugly about this club, everything you will want to know for Thursday nights,
Cost to get into the club is 20.00 if you want Vip you will be additional 25.00, cost for a long island is 14.00 add on tip you will pay 16.00. and don’t forget the 10.00 to park. The Club its self is nice venue, didn’t know they closed at 2:45 though, it does get packed, over all I had a good time, the staff was courteous and the line did move fast

by CSMobileUser2
came for a D&G fashion show parking was $5 entry was $10 didnt like how the men working inside acted ugly when i told them i was invited by the casting agency hosting the event, however the atmosphere was great. VIP looked fun it was on a balcony (hence the name opera) will go back again but ill be rude to those guys if theyre rude to me again
"A Night At The Opera"
by jasonlgreene
No, I'm not talking about the classic Marx Brother's film. I'm talking aabout the hottest night spot in Midtown, or Atlanta, just period.
Many of us native Atlantan's have seen the party scene change over the years, from the Limelight of the 80's(My personal all-time fave), to Peter Gatien's first club at this 1150 Peachtree location. And of course in later years, Club 1150. History abounds in Midtown, in the rear of the Histerical, I mean Historical Atlanta Women's Club structure.
What was once an elaborate 1929's theater, now stands Opera, in all it's high tech glory. The domed 20ft. ceiling, the private opera boxes, the detailed ornamentation, to the super hot sounds from some of the best DJ's in the country. Classic, but very hip. It's def the place to be.
Atlanta's diversity abounds at Opera. Nearby hotel guest from the Four Season's, Palomare, and the new Lowe's, are just a walk away , into Atlanta's most sophisticated club. Masterful Farhang Milani, keeps the club goers in the know, about all the special events, going on every night. Dress to impress.
- Pros: Historic Midtown Location, Beautiful People
- Cons: Parking Can Be A Challenge
Dishonorable employees
by yassers
they do not honor their guestlist. Last Fri., 6/11/2010, I received a guestlist e-mail for a free entry before 11:30. I drove 30 miles, paid parking and stayed on line for 25 minutes and was at the door 11:25 and presented the guestlist e-mail. Then, the guy checking the line said "we have a special event tonight and the guestlist is not valid but I can get you in for half price". I left because I can not deal with disrespectable, dihonorable people. However, I asked about the manager and told him the story and he confirmed a free guestlist entry before 11:30. Then, he talked with the line guy and came back saying it's a special event as if he did not know about it before!!!
Also, the drinks are way over-piced and the crowd is usually 10 men to 1 women ratio. There are better clubs in Atlanta such as Havana club and Primal club and they always honor their guestlists.
- Pros: Non
- Cons: Drinks are too expensive
Vegas finds Atlanta

There is only one way to do Opera. You have to do VIP bottle service. You'll spend a little more money but if you have a large group of people it makes a huge difference. Waiting in line for drinks will take up the majority of your nights. Ellen Phon who runs the VIP services does an outstanding job of giving you the personalized service that you are paying for. It is worth every dime.
That being said this is a once every 6 months night for me.
- Pros: Great VIP prices, Great looking women
- Cons: Fist pumping idiots who insist on wearing sun glasses inside
I LOVE DIS PLACE
by mzzlove
i love this club and every chance i get i go on wednesday cuz it's 18+ on wednesday . i just love how the dj never played the whole song and also never repeated it. the bouncers was respectful
- Pros: Mixed Songs Lots Of Space
- Cons: expensive
Definitely a good time
by MissPerez
I absolutely love Opera. I found out about the place because my friend who was getting married decided to have her bacholerette party there. As soon as we got escorted up to our table in the beautiful VIP I knew it was going to be a good night. The service was superior and even when my bacholerette got too drunk the staff was understanding and helped me escort her out the door when we were ready to leave. I have been to Opera several times since then and it has proven itself to be a great time.
I wanted to share this with yall because I know bada service is shared much more often than good service but this place is definitely worth a shot!!
- Pros: Great Service
Opera is THE place to go to!!
by mistruth
I visit Opera about two to three times a month now for the past 4 or 5 months. First let me say that the venue is gorgeous and I am never disappointed in the cleanliness because there are guys that go around constantly cleaning after the drunk people who make a mess. We have gotten a table a few times and all the waitresses that i have had will run their ass for you to make sure you are happy. I have also had a problem with a guy that would not leave me alone and he was very drunk and he threw up in a garbage can that was nearby. I saw a security guard close by and he helped the guy outside. I see all the reviews saying how rough the guards are but they were nice to this drunk idiot so it makes me think that on here the whole story is not getting written or maybe the person did not see why the security guard had to be so rough.
I have always had a positive experience at this club and if you go to Opera thinking you are going to have a bad time you probably will. I will keep going to this club because it has great events, friendly and good looking staff, and good drinks!
- Pros: Excellent staff
- Cons: Dumb drunk people!
I always have a good time at Opera
by P Lawson
I frequent Opera quite often, usually for special events and DJ's that my girlfriend, my friends, and myself like. We usually buy a table unless we want to be on the floor for something like Armin. I see all these complaints on here, but to be honest there is a lot of drunk shenanigan's that go on all the time at this place. So I understand why the bouncers have a Zero tolerance policy. Ive smoked countless joints/bowls in this place and have never been harassed, the only time I see people get bounced is when people do dumb ass shit, so to everyone that is complaining you guys were probably tanked. Going VIP has its perks I never wait in line ever, and if you establish a relationship with a hostess you can get in whenever and no lines. I love watching people get stopped from entering to let my friend's and myself in that shit is funny it makes people rage. Also if you get a table if anyone slightly bothers you, you can have there ass bounced, cheers to gizeppo and his creepy cousin that tried to mack on my girl last friday I bet the bouncers treated you guys good.
- Pros: I get treated awesome.
- Cons: Lack of security at cabana's
