Needs an upgrade

I agree with both previous reviews. Waay outdated games upstairs along with some old TV's. Upgrade both and I wouldn't have had anything bad to say and would change the stars to 5. Still had a great time either way.

Don't put a lot of money on your player card upfront...you'll realize like I did that the game selections are weak!

What a cool place!

I had the polar opposite experience, all of the reviews I have read state that there is only one big screen. I counted Two large (over 14') HD big screens as well as over 8 large HD Plasma televisions. I found the service to be excellent, our server Dee was very informative and timely. I had the Chicken Tenders and not only were they a good value, there was more than enought to go around. We were there on a Thursday night when they tape an Atlanta Falcons television show, so we got to meet and get autographs from new Falcons QB Matt Ryan. If you can't have fun in this place, you aren't a real sports fan!

The worst overall dining experience in my adult life

I'm a Buckhead native and resident for 28 years and had never been to ESPN zone until a buddy's birthday party led me through their doors for what quickly turned into the worst overall dining experience in my adult life.

50 low-definition tubes (showing only 1 game...DURING THE NCAA TOURNAMENT) in a windowless building full of screaming kids serving microwavable dishes from the world's worst waitress all while paying a parking attendant $10 to NOT Valet your car doesn't make for a good review. A 6 year old who eats crayons could run a better establishment than the Atlanta ESPN Zone.

I enjoy spicy food, but the wings were just microwaved chicken meat with some sort of "fire" sauce dumped on them. Barely edible. I also felt like I should have been watching Magic Johnson vs. Larry Bird on these throwback TVs. I mean, you are affiliated with ESPN, right? Spring for some new TVs. At least Taco Mac has flat screens...and High Definition TVs at that. This is 2008!!

The people in the main room looked like they were eating in the smoking lounge of Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. They all looked ashamed to be there and couldn't wait to see the sun again. The "large screen TV" in the bar that everyone raves about is standard in most people's game rooms by now.

Not only that, but the game room upstairs is lame...You're kids will laugh at the outdated games.

I cannot say enough bad things about this place, but if you like slow and miserable service, headaches from staring and small TVs with no variety, and food that will make you sick in the dirty bathrooms; than this place is for you.

I would rather eat Taco Bell on the cold slab in my dead grandmother's garage than EVER step foot in this "establishment" again.

PS I only gave it one star because negative stars are not an option.

Great Group Fun

Fun! Fun! Fun! There is so much fun to be had at ESPN zone. Get a group of friends together on game day get there early, play games, eat and drink. You need to get here early for big games but don't worry there are plenty of things to do (shoot hoops, race cars, air hockey and more.) The food is very good for bar food and the drinks are great.

It's also good for younger kids. I have taken younger family members with a few of there friends early on a Saturday, gave them some tokens and fed them there and they have never been happier. Great place for fun.

great sports bar with good food

i love this place. not only can you see every game that's going on with all of their tv's but the food is really good too. very relaxed and a great place to grab a drink after work. o yea, you gotta try the hot fudge brownie!!! it's to die for :)

Not worth it

You can get better food and a better view of the game you want to see at just about any sports bar out there. I won't be back to the Atlanta ESPN Zone. The deal-breaker was when all of a sudden the screen I was watching my game on just went to a sign that said "ESPN Zone." Um, it was the last minute of the game and the opposing team was attempting to kick a tying field goal. And you take the GAME OFF? Idiots. IDIOTS. I wouldn't dream of going back. There's no reason to when there are so many other options even within two miles of the ESPN Zone, and having to deal with the valet parking sucked too. I'm giving it two stars out of generosity.

Horrible Food and Service

My two college buddies and I decided to eat here the night before our flight the next morning. Our college was playing in the OVC basketball semifinals, and before arriving in ATL, I emailed the ESPN Zone and asked if they broadcast games on ESPNU (since that's what channel the game was on). I received a reply of "yes, all the time".

We paid 10 dollars to park (Buckhead on a Friday night) and went in to eat. I asked if they had ESPNU on and was told 'no'. I asked if they could put one of the tv's on that channel and was told 'no'. Since we had already paid for parking, we decided to go ahead and eat there anyways.

We were seated in the tv room next to the bar and saw the 14 different sports feeds with, sure enough, no ESPNU broadcast. Amazing how you go the ESPN ZONE and they don't even have ESPNU on! Our waitress FINALLY came after about 5 minutes of sitting there and I asked her about getting one of the feeds changed to that channel. After another 5 minutes, she came back and said one of the channels would be changed to it. Finally, the game appeared with about 4 minutes left in the game. How nice.

Now for the food and service: horrible, horrible, horrible

We all ordered the "hero" or whatever sandwich that was (salami, ham, cole slaw...). Sounded great and was one of the cheaper sandwiches. When we finally got it, my friends ate 2 bites and could not eat anymore. The sandwich tasted as if it had been soaked in salt. I seriously felt my life getting shorter by every bite I took of mine. And, right on cue, the waitress would go shoot the breeze with her coworkers around the bar when we wanted a refill on our much needed water. After FINALLY getting the check, we waited and waited for her to come and get it. Seeing her at the bar again wasting our time, we just left the $38.xx tab and her $1.xx in tip on the table.

Do yourself a favor and eat at a different sports/bar place in ATL.

Not your typical sports bar, this behemoth boasts leather recliners and a seductive arcade room.

The Scene
Three separate areas define this Buckhead beast: the Screening Room bar, the Studio Grill restaurant and the Sports Arena arcade. The bar is the best bet for die-hard fans. Amenities range from speaker-clad leather recliners (they don't come free for big games) to tables with touch screens and private speakers. A giant control-room wall flashes broadcasts, scores and sports news. The restaurant features more televisions than most sports grills, but serves up generic sports-bar fare.

The Draw
Most of the "sports fans" who visit ESPN Zone are more interested in the scene around the Big Game than the game itself. This place also appeals to out-of-town visitors. If you can, sit in a replica set from SportsCenter or College Hoops 2Night. Sports simulation games--designed to make you hot and thirsty--drain your wallet while you wait for a table in the arcade.

ESPN Zone: A BIG Disappointment!

Here I am in Atlanta for the Women's Final Four, and there's an ESPN Zone! We drive in there for dinner and find out you have to pay for valet parking. (We turned down the valet part but still had to pay $5 to park.) We walk through the front door and see a huge banner that proclaims itself the World's Biggest Brackets. And what brackets is it? Why, the men's Final Four, of course. I turn around to look at the facing wall expecting to see a comparable women's bracket banner, but there isn't one. Why, I ask the host, is there only a men's banner up when (1) we're in Atlanta, where the Women's Final Four will be held, and (2) ESPN is broadcasting the women's tournament? He says he doesn't know why. The food is good, but nothing extraordinary. The service, however, is mediocre.

Outstanding!!!!

The first time I visited was last year for Valentine Day and my boyfriend and I had a blast the food was excellent and the waitress we had was awesome. I advise everyone to go and check it out
