Have been a couple of times with my family and everytime it has been a great experience. The food has been very good, menu has something for everyone. The service is awesome, they are always on top of things and ready to please you. Very romantic
Pros: Great service

I have been to the Dining Room several times before, and although it is certainly not inexpensive, I felt I always received amazing service and great food, along with elegant ambiance. The last item remains unchanged, but on a recent visit for Valentine's Evening dinner, I was extremely disappointed. First, prices were bumped up to $185 per person (without wine pairings - that was $85 more!) for this "special" menu and the number of courses was REDUCED! There was nothing special about the food choices. The nouvelle cuisine, so popular in the 80's, is foolishly still done here. The fois gras was not seared, but a terrine slice ("touchon"). So the quality was indistiguishable. The second course, halibut, was about a 2-ounce portion of good, although a bit salty, fish. Third course, the very good bison filet, was about a 3-ounce portion. I am still very hungry at this point. The last course was the largest, and when the dessert is a basic souffle and a very odd toasted marshmellow (which even the waiter described as "silly") you have to wonder what they are thinking. Perhaps that sugar, water, and eggs are cheaper than fresh fish and beef? Hmmm... In a town where you now have amazing new restaurants and old favorites, with one of the highest patron-to-restaurant ratios in the country, where you can buy amazing fresh foods (including excellent FRESH fois gras), you have to think the Ritz has lost its touch. People are certainly willing to pay a great deal of money for food, but the quality competition with more medium-priced venues is on! Beef suppliers (and supplies) are more generic - the Ritz doesn't get any more "prime" meat that many other upscale venues. And to spend 2 hours in a restaurant over 4 lean courses, pay $565 for dinner with two drinks, and leave hungry is ridiculous. Where did the quality and the value go? And the best part of dining there, the amazing sommelier, Chantelle, is now off getting her Master's. How this place misses her!
Pros: Atmosphere, good (though on this trip, not amazing) service
Cons: Food quantity, cost to quality ratio, absence of great sommelier

The Dining Room at The Ritz-Carlton, is still one of the top Dining Rooms in the city. The room's fine linens, antiques, fireplace, and formal French service, create a dining experience you will not forget. And the very personable, Sommelier, Chantelle Grilhot, brings in a youthful approach, in her selection of wine pairings. The chef's eight course tasting menu, features products grown right here in Georgia. This is special occasion dining. And you won't forget the occasion. Service is top-notch, as well as the chef's menu.
Pros: One Of Atlanta's Five Star's-Star!
Cons: Expensive, But You Get What You Pay For!

Best four hours and $700 that I ever spent on food and wine. If you choose the 8 course with wine pairing, plan on a cab or room at the Ritz.

This intimate dining room is a fabulous fine dining spot. I was very impressed with the attentive waitstaff and the food is phenomenal. Everything was perfectly executed-- from the soup and salads to the entrees and desserts. If you're staying at the Ritz, you don't need to leave the hotel to find a top-notch restaurant...just walk downstairs!!!

The Dining Room experience was exceptional! No screaming kids- nothing to distract from the food and your company. The new Chef Arnaud is great and the food is wonderful and fresh and not tiny like alot of other fine dining establishments. The staff was wonderful and attentive and Chantal took us all over the world with the wine pairings. The Exec Chef of the Hotel Eric Chopin even came to say hello at our table. All in all you cannot beat this experience. A place you must take "foodie" visitors when they visit you in Atl. I almost forgot the brunch. Yum Yum Yum is all I can say. Every Sunday is great but on special holidays they really do a great job! Lots of delicious choices! Nothing compares is Atl.
Pros: Food obviously, Wonderful atmosphere
Cons: none

The Ritz has soom of the best food in Atlanta without a doubt. Their theme buffets, especially the asian theme, are both unique and delicious. the fried chicken salad, a simple entree, even has a gourmet flare that puts it at the top. The service is impeccable, well worth the money.
Pros: incredible food, creative lunch buffet

My boyfriend took me here for our anniversary and it was exquisite! The appetizer alone took my breath away.

We were seated in a semi private room that gave us a view of the entire restaurant. Charles was our server and is fun, professional, and knowledgeable. Bruno the Chef even came and visited our table. The food of course, what can I say, it is the Ritz.
Pros: Most Romantic, Great Food, Great Service
