What Our Expert Scouts Are Saying
Northerners, (OK we’ll go ahead and say it, Yankees) often lament that bagels in Atlanta can’t compare to anything north of the Mason-Dixon line and the city has a long way to go when it comes to getting a great deli sandwich. Partners from the West Egg Café restaurant and former Bocado chef Todd Ginsburg aim to right this wrong with the opening of their restaurant The General Muir across from Emory University. Deli favorites chopped liver, latkes, matzo ball soup, & pastrami sandwiches all find a place on the menu along with a new version of the burger stack made popular at the chef’s former Westside restaurant. In addition to separate breakfast, lunch and dinner service, the adjacent deli serves bagels, cold sandwiches and coffee made with their own custom Batdorf & Bronson blend all day.
