I call this store and asked if they could beat Pep Boys tire prices, I was assured they could and they would throw in a free front end alignment. So i went to their store to have the two new front tires installed. As i waited in the loby they come in and tell me i have a bad ball joint that needs to be replaced.

OK i'm over 50 and have been a mechanic and have done all the mechanic work on my vehechles for the past 35 yrs. So scared this info with them and explained i have just replaced a tie rod and stablizer on the front end last week and the ball joints are just fine.

Now i have this bad feeling that i made a mistake coming to this tire shop. When it was time to pay the bill their was all kinds of extra charges like valve stems, tire disposal, road hazard, labor, ect. ect.

I asked if the front alignment was out much and they replied they don't do a free alignment only a free check.

this was tricky wording they us to get you in to their store. So i asked how did it check, and they replied they didn't check it due to the bad ball joint.

Now i'm having some issues with keeping cool with these clowns. I told them they lied to me on the phone that they did not beat Pep Boys price and they did not throw in the alignment and the ball joint is just fine.

As i drove for the next few days i noticed a viberation i didn't have with the old tires. I went back and had them check the balance and for a bad belt in tires.

they found nothing, few weeks later i stop back, they still find nothing.

Upon getting rear tires on my truck (else where) i had those tires rotated to the back, and low and behold now i have a tire viberation in the rear of my truck and the one tire is showing a odd wear of less tread in one spot.

I return to Tires Minus and still they say their tire is not defective. I never return untill a month ago after getting a nail in this oblong tire so i put on my spare and took the tire up to be patched.

I dropped it off to be patch, they said it would be done in two hours i return in three. Still not fixed so i came back two hours later at closing time and had them put it back on my truck. This was the only good service i got from their store it was time to go home, why didn't i think of this before Dauh !!!

This tire was not worth getting patched but i just wanted to use my road hazard and get alittle pay back.

A couple of weeks ago i stoped at a tire shop to get rid of this tire i been using for a spare and to buy a used tire with more thread. The tire man at this shop showed me how the belts in the tire had been separated by the uneven wear on the tread. WOW did i have a store to tell him due to the fact his tire shop is on the same street as Tires (Minus) Plus just thee blocks away. Now the odd thing is he did not seem to be shocked about the sory i shared with him.

When i saw this site with the ability to share a reveiw with others i just couldn't pass it up, what a great way to let others now about cons and rip offs. Sorry about the bad spelling and all this is not what i do best. Dave
