Caring christ-centered learning. My husband and I knew "this is it!" when we attended the open house at The Heiskell School. At the time we were looking for a preschool for our son, who now has been there for three years. We are so impressed with the school and the individual attention they give to each child. We are right at home and so glad to have a school that directly reflects the Christ-centered, good manners, and love we are showing at home! We highly recommend that if you want an educational experience that teaches the "right" principles - check out The Heiskell School for your family!

Best kept secret in Atlanta for education. My husband and I both attended private schools here in Atlanta for elementary and high school. Instead of sending our children to our alma maters, we were looking for an education with substance, moral values, structure, strong academics, traditional, but in an old-fashioned way, not a social climbing culture--- An education that focuses on building up the total person, creating good learners, depth of character, independence, a challenging curriculum. The Heiskell School uses an aggressive, comprehensive curriculum---my children are at least 1 to 2 years ahead of other comparable schools in terms of curriculum. An incredible education. Love the teachers, very well trained and compassionate. The school is almost like a large "home" school because of the personal attention given to each student. Don't be fooled by the facades of others schools. We wanted substance and depth, not a social facade--and we chose well. Our children will have attended Heiskell all the way through 8th grade---they will be more than prepared for the challenges of high school.

Great School. Small class size enables the teachers to give the students more attention. Christ centered education with strong academics was perfect for our family.

Editorial Review. Established in 1949, The Heiskell School offers preschool, elementary and junior high academic programs in a Christian environment.

User review by shantelj1. The curriculum is average. I found that the SSAT had alot of material that was not provided in the core curriculum. The teachers are not available for extra assistance after hours or during the afterschool program. I had to hire an outside tutor. In researching several of the other private schools teachers are available in their classrooms for 1 hour afterschool and tutoring labs are available at no extra cost.
