So Thankful to have Found this Practice.
I have had nothing but a wonderful and positive experience at AWS. Dr. Wyatt-Hathaway delivered both of my youngest sons and the oldest son of one of my best friends. Dr. Stanley Angus was my primary doctor but I had the pleasure of being seen by almost every doctor on staff during my two pregnancies and I have to say that EVERY doctor on staff, EVERY nurse that I saw, EVERY person in the business office and the lab technicians that I worked with were wonderful. I had two high risk pregnancies because of fibroids and the doctors at AWS were on top of everything. Every change in blood pressure, the growth and impact of the fibroids on my babies, the impact of such problematic pregnancies on me, physically and emotionally. Both of my children were delivered by c-section and had it not been for the sheer will an determination of Dr. Wyatt-Hathaway to deliver my soon to be 4yr old alive, my story could have been so much different. Another great thing about AWS is it's affiliation with Northside Hospital.
I started my 2007 pregnancy with another practice and I thank God regularly for sending me to AWS. I have and will continue to sing the praises of this practice and its doctors. If you CAN go to them, DO.
I am thankful to report that Dr. Smith and Dr. Jeffers are wonderful, kind and knowledgeable. I am very pleased with both doctors and the time they took to explain things. Neither doctor seemed rushed or hurried.
I am displeased with some of the office staff and the cleanliness of some parts of the office.
When I called to make an appointment, I asked for my doctor. After being taken to a patient room, I was told I'd be seen by another doctor I did not know. Turns out that doctor was great, but I'd like to have known before, say when I made the appointment, that it was with another doctor.
I'd be very pleased with this office if they could hire another cleaning company to clean their bathrooms. Some of the walls I saw had water marks and as a patient, I think it should be cleaner.
The wait time here seems average to me. I waited about an hour each visit.
Messy. I was excited when I met Dr.Dawson he was a kind man. The Ultrasound tech is also very very nice, however the rest of the nurses do not seem to know what they are doing almost as if they havent been in their field for a long time. As I sat in the room today on nurse wanted to check my blood presure but she didnt stop and tell me that , as she passed right by she called my name and kept walking.... I didnt know what she wanted until another nurse came and got me. Dr.Dawson was out of the office so after my ultrasound I was to get blood work, well they put me in a room and told me I would need to see another dr... I said ok since I had no choise. The Dr. came in asked me a few things before saying that i have PCOS and that Dr.Dawson didnt tell him what kind of blood work he wanted me done (basically made me feel not so important) even though the ultrasound tech knew exactly what I was there for. He that told me that there wasnt much that they could do for me since I dont yet want to get pregnant. I told him that I could not believe that I am hearing him say that to me took my things and left. This is the 2nd time I am having to switch the dr and I cant get answers as well as dr's who are just plain rude and cold. If this is the service we are getting with insurance (mine is ppo and I am paying 140 a month 1600 a year) what kind of service would we get if these dr no longer had insurance and had obamacare? Why is it so hard to find a dr these days who will actually care. I left this office crying and will not be returning. I do recommend Dr.Dawson he is very nice but i wish he had his own office.
