Tips for Flying Biscuit Cafe

Awesome Food. Everytime I'm in Sandy Springs, I make it a point to eat at this place. The thing I like about it is that it's not as slammed as the other Flying Biscuit locations so you can sit down and enjoy your meal. I love the jambalaya and whatever jam they have for their biscuits is awesome.

Absolutely, positively, unequivocally TERRIBLE. I recently had one of the absolute worst meals I've ever had the misfortune to eat. It began horribly, and ended even worse:

1. Host who greeted us was rude and unprofessional. He never made eye contact, shunted us off to the corner, and told us there would be a 10 to 15 minute wait. Oh, and there were a few empty tables at the time. We inquired about this. His answer: "Don't tell me how to do my job. You want the manager?" Yes, we wanted the manager. Manager's response: "Our host knows what he is doing and will seat you when there is an available table." Um, ok. We were hungry and had 2 young kids, so we didn't argue and didn't leave. Though we most definitely should have.

2. We ordered X, Y and Z. They brough X, but not Y and Z. Instead, we got A and B. But we didn't order A and B. So, with a huff and a puff, waitress reluctantly took back A and B. Twenty minutes later we got Y and Z, both of which were cold.

3. X meal contained eggs that were undercooked and turkey bacon that was burnt to an absolute crisp (no, I'm not exaggerating). Y and Z, in addition to being cold, were so salty I felt as if I was ingesting the Dead Sea.

Conclusion: service sucks; management sucks; food sucks. Oh, and restaurant is not what I'd call clean. Far from it. In fact, "dirty hovel" would be generous.

Save your $$ and go elsewhere.
