Area 54 Tattoos

Horrible Attitude!. My husband and I stopped by Area 54 two days ago looking to get some ink. Upon entering we were "greeted" and asked what we needed. After explaining that my husband wanted to get a tattoo, She said in a rather irritated tone, "So are you just here to get a price or something." We said we wanted the estimated price, to meet with an artist and to set up to tattoo THAT DAY if possible. After being asked to wait (for what turned out to be about 15 minutes while she played on the computer) we were passed off to another guy who told us he didn't have a clue about anything we asked. WHY WORK IN A TATTOO SHOP IF YOU CAN'T ANSWER TATTOO QUESTIONS? My husband had a drawing of what he wanted but knew we would need to print off a larger image for the artist... even though it was nothing but straight lines and letters. The clueless guy took the drawing to another artist while he was in the middle of tattooing another customer (rude) and started asking him if he could help us. Out loud in front of everyone in the shop and other customers, the guy starts complaining about the drawing and saying he needed something bigger to work with and that he was already doing a lot today so it would take a while... excuse after excuse. If he didn't want to do the piece, he should have just said so! We walked out and don't plan to return! I have NEVER been treated so disrespectfully by someone I'm paying! We were prepared to pay any price they asked... but they didn't want to take the time to be nice and respectful and simply answer our questions! We went to Area 54 because we have friends that have gotten work done there and I even had a friend that used to work for them! After our experience, I WILL NOT refer Area 54 to anybody! Just because you work in a tattoo shop and like to give off the "I'm hardcore because I'm covered in tattoos therefore I have to be mean and rude to everybody that comes throught the door" vibe does not give you the right to be completely rude to paying customers.
