Can't say enough GREAT things!. This place is fantastic! They have the best BBQ I have ever had and they have the most friendly and warm atmosphere! Their food is delicious and the service is wonderful. Well worth the drive!

Wide selection of reasonably priced Southern favorites. Recently dined here with a large group. Considering the size of our table, the service was quick and the server very friendly. Everyone shared their orders, so I had a chance to sample BBQ pork, ribs, steak, chicken salad, etc. All was authentically prepared, honest down-home cooking.

The fried appetizers were particularly good - some of the best chicken wings I've had. One person in our party didn't care for one of his side dishes, but it was promptly replaced with another selection at no charge. You can't ask for more than that!

The place is way out in the boonies, but well worth the trip.

Not impressed.. Now when i say not much taste thats too general a statement. While some things had alot of flavor, it was not good flavor. Take the brunswick stew for example. It tastes way too strong of lemon and salt. I can hardly make out any of the other flavors past the overwelming salty lemon flavor. The ribs however were not over spiced. In fact they were a little under spiced. The texture of the ribs was kinda strange. Almost as if it had been boiled in water prior to cooking. All in all I would say dont waste your time on this place.

Wow!. I've visited several times, and have yet to find anything on the menu that wasn't top-notch. I love the steaks, but my wife enjoys the hippie meatloaf. My daughter's favorite is the brisket quesadilla. There's something for everyone at JMS...and more. I've been several times, and have sat beside several first-timers, including couples and families celebrating special events. The words "best meal ever" are what I hear most frequently. And only recently have I begun to realize what an excellent wine list Jill and Johnny have put together. Wow!

BBQ Bistro with organic vegetarian, beer and wine. a foodies mecca in the middle of nowhere. Johnny Mitchell's Smokehouse hand crafts their dishes from sauces to desserts. Amazing wine list, draught and bottled beer. This is the place that ANYONE can find something great on the menu.
