What People Are Saying About Prickly Pear Taqueria

In Short – This is Midtown’s answer to Atlanta’s obsession of hip-but-slightly-Americanized taquerias, and it follows their basic formula. With an industrial floor, rich colored walls, and day of the dead skeletons adorning the walls, the south of the border tone is set. Imaginative flavor combinations like seared tuna and jicama, fried shrimp and mango-pineapple salsa look great on paper, but don’t seem to be executed as advertised. A great tequila selection furnishes the kick for the margaritas but the mojitos fall terribly short with the addition of Sprite instead of soda, bizarrely…

- Parking:
- A large free parking deck backs up to the rear entrance of the restaurant. Its your safest and quickest option.
This place SUCKS!
by tonyclifton22
We went there to scout out a place for my friend's 42nd birthday bash, a party of 25 people and the manager did not want me taking any pictures of the place to show to my other friends, a simple picture!! My question on that is, if we were to go there and take pictures during the birthday party, would we also be told not to take any pictures as well? That is free advertising for any business and a great way to display the fun of your place! Also, the waiter we had was not even close to being on his game. We tried the paella and it was pa-pitiful!! So we won't be going there next week for his party after all.
