One and DONE!

by akaivyleaf

I would like to lodge a complaint against @baroneatl and Peter Thomas. I don't like bait and switch tactics. When we are told to be at the location by 9:30pm to get a table we do so. We each had to have separate checks and we complied. We ordered drinks and food and were quite content to celebrate my cousin's birthday. Then the tables turned...literally. The waiter brings our individual checks and invites us to leave the premises as our 2 hours were up. Huh? What? Leave?

To make a long story short... if you want a table you have to buy a 275.00 bottle of liquor- after which they tack on a 49.50 gratuity to it. Not wanting to disrupt my cousin's guests I buy the bottle and we continued our evening. But one thing is for sure. I won't be back again! The policy should have been stated when we made the phone call reserving the space. Then this policy should have been reiterated to us when we were seated.

Now this does not make good business sense. Mathematically speaking 15 people who spent an average of 50.00 on food and drinks and weren't ready to quit their enjoyment at the 2 hour mark brings in more money than a single 324.50 tab. Why disenfranchise 15 people for what equates to pennies and a (former) customer who has no problems persuading others to never step foot in this establishment again!

They encouraged me to send them an e-mail to lodge a formal complaint and I did so. In all fairness this was part of their reply: Ms. Kenney, President of the Peter Thomas Entertainment Group, responded in part that "...you are not the first person that has questioned our business model, and that the two hour policy is not something that will change."

That's my cue to exit from the scene and never return.

NEVER going back!!

by MsBee KC

Nice concept but it could be better. The gentlemen outside need to give the waitresses afew pointers on good customer service or people skills.

We walked in and there were 5 waitresses standing in front of the hostess desk, not one of them greeted us they just looked at us. So I asked if can just seat anywhere and one of them said we needed to ask the hostess but why were they blocking the way of us doing so??

Our waiter was very nice and friendly though.

There aren't enough tables or chairs, no one wants to stand especially with heels on.

The food was ok but the drinks are way over priced, ($15 for a Cosmo????)

We couldn't wait to get out of there! This place isn't all that it's cracked up to be unfortunately.

Nice Bar.....not impressed with the service

by mpr0

Sooooo after dinner at Frank Ski's we go to Bar One on a Saturday night to have a few drinks for a friends birthday (8-9pm).

Arrived, valet parked, got in and we were asked if we had a reservation. I told the host (who was rude btw) that we did not, yet wanted to simply have a few drinks. She informed us that we couldn't have a table but try the bar if we wanted to sit.

Look to the right of us only to see not one seat open. There were only four of us yet the bar sat approx. 14 people. NOT that I was expecting a LARGE bar, but I couldn't understand why the host pointed me in the direction of the bar and there clearly were no seats.

Obviously I wasn't going to be rude and stand over someone's shoulder, order a drink and hover around until they left.

Nevertheless, all other patrons who decided to stay were standing around chatting and drinking along the one wall behind the bar. Ok, cool, no issue there, except MOST women I know wear heels and to stand for hours was a NO for me. Grown woman here, not a kid seeking attention.

Overall, it appeared as if the people there were just standing and waiting to get a glimpse of what I don't know, but I definitely wasn't desperate enough to see.

I moooore than likely won't revisit Bar One but I do hope the owner the best. He's definitely creating some jobs in Atlanta and that is to be commended.

Absolutely unacceptably terrible service

by Krissy2007

we were in the Area and decided to check out bar one because my friend and I are housewives fans. What a mistake. We weren't expecting to see Cynthia or Peter, not that we cared that much to see him but were at LEAST expecting a decent dining experience given the publicity the show has given this place. That's basically all it has. Many patrons seemed disgruntled and a few flat out pissed off. The wait staff are rude, unsociable and completely incompetent. We waited so long for our food it exceeded the ridiculous "time limit" on tables and they had the nerve to ask us to leave!! I was appalled. This business does not deserve to flourish. Great job Peter, not.

Great Date Night Spot

by Wendy DJewels

My husband and I love this spot and this will be our date night spot from now on. Everything was on point from the greeting at the door to our fabulous waiter, Justin and the food.

Enjoyed the Curry Goat! Yummy!
