We stayed on "The Level" which I
recommend as there is a very nice lounge for guests on that floor where they offer a Continental breakfast and a nice happy hour with plenty of hot and cold appetizers and three drinks per person. We were especially impressed with Carlos, who works in the lounge and spent time conversing with us and talking about the hotel.
We had dinner both nights at the Lobby Bar and the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The flat bread pizza was wonderful and tapas the second night provided a very nice variety of flavors and tastes. We also had breakfast on our last day at the buffet which includes a variety of food as well as a great fresh omelet bar.
The hotel is very conveniently located near restaurants like the famous Varsity, shops and plenty of tourist attractions. It's a beautiful, comfortable and very friendly hotel and I recommend it completely.
We were in town for the weekend to see the Music Midtown Festival. The lobby was very nice when we first walked in, when we got to our room we were also more than impressed. The rooms were updated and clean. For $100 a night this place is great! It was 2 blocks from the Varsity & Georgia Tech and about a 10 min walk to the aquarium, Coke and the GA Dome. I will deff stay here again next time im in ATL.
I can't say enough nice things about
the staff. From the time we arrived and got a nice "hello" from the evening staff until we left and got a nice "goodbye" from the morning staff, my family was treated very well.
I especially appreciated the respect and patience the staff showed my 87 year old mother, who has trouble walking but refuses help. We chose the hotel for its closeness to family, but it will be our go-to place in Atlanta on future trips.
If you are traveling for business to
Downtown/Midtown Atlanta, Melia is definitely the way to go. Close to America's Mart, where I was attending an expo, and a short block away from the nearest subway station.
Exceptionally friendly staff, and Spanish tapas & live music on Fridays. Amazing view from my balcony, unbeatable rate and therefore value.
The Melia has great features such as the location, bar, restaurant etc. The best feature by far however was Domenique. From the minute we stepped up to the counter to check in to our very last day of our stay he made us feel special and that our experience and business mattered. He was professional, pleasant and accomodating. If we return to this hotel it will be only because of him.
My guests and I were very pleased with the services we received at the Melia Atlanta!!! Domenique, Chris, Josh, and Sandy were awesome!!!! I would recommend this hotel to anyone who loves great service and staff that goes above and beyond.
We stayed here during the midtown music festival. The hotel was decently priced at 125 per night. The walk to Piedmont park was only about twenty minutes and there are a lot of restaurants and bars in the midtown area. This was the first hotel I've ever stayed at with a balcony.
Our stay could not have been more
perfect. You can choose to park your own vehicle or use the valet service which is a little pricier but very convenient. We walked into a gorgeous lobby where the staff was very friendly and welcoming, then went upstairs to our gorgeous room.
Our room was so nice, I actually thought it had been renovated but found later that it had not. It was roomy with a very nice flat screen TV and the furnishings were all in perfect condition. The free wifi is a nice bonus and it was fairly fast as well. A balcony in a downtown hotel is unusual and it was nice to step out there and enjoy the incredible view of downtown Atlanta.
Great Location, Great scenery (my room faced downtown), awesome hospitality, very good food (not the average Hotel food), employees were a big help and ready to assist with any of our needs. Overall a good experience. I would definitely stay at the Melia again.
If you are planning a meeting in the near, or not so near future, do yourself a favor. Send an RFP to the Melia Hotel Atlanta. You’ll be doing yourself a GREAT disservice if you don’t. The kind demeanor and level of professionalism of the management and staff are unrivaled by any hotel I’ve done business with in the past. (And I’ve had some very good prior experiences.) You won’t be disappointed!
