Happy with ADT – I just had my ADT security system installed by MHB Security and the installers did such a great job. I was very happy with the sales staff who created a customized solution for my home. Thanks a lot! I strongly recommend MHB Security if you are looking for a security system. The also have a referral program so you can get $100 for every person that comes through you and signs up as a new customer. Great job MHB Security!
It’s a simple security system but a little expansive compared to the other home alarm providers. It’s a very standard alarm system that covers the basics: i.e. a keypad, window and door sensors and motion detectors. The motion detector doesn’t work too well with Pets, so the false alarms are a bit high.
Dropped their Service – I had ADT for years, but dropped their service. When I first got the alarm system about 10 years ago, as soon as the alarm sounded (twice in 10 years), ADT would telephone me immediately to see if I was o.k. When the alarm went off not very long ago, it took over 5 minutes for ADT to telephone me. After waiting and not hearing from them, I myself telephoned 911. After a few minutes more, ADT finally telephoned. I could have been dead by the time they called. I also understand that if ADT cannot contact you, they telephone the second number on the list, asking them to check, and then they call the police. By that time, my house would have been cleaned out, or I could have been attacked. When my contact expired, I did not renew. They used to be such a good company.
Saving plus Safety – Not only do I feel safer with my ADT security, but I was able to also reduce my homeowner’s insurance by over $200 per year. The installation was pretty painless and now I feel secure and save money all at the same time.
I used ADT for my home monitoring until today when they called and reported a "failed communications test". This is the fifth month in a row with such an "event". ADT refused to pay for the service charge to come out and look at the keypad they modified exactly five months ago. Until ADT "upgraded" the keypad I never had a problem with failed communications tests. Their response to me was that I should have initiated a service call sooner. Please remember that ADT was already aware of the problem as they called to report the problem to me every month. I don't mind a mistake in the installation of their product, but to tell me that I was responsible for the fee to correct a problem ADT already knew existed? No thanks...terrible customer service!!
The installer who came to our house was on time and clean to look at! He was informative and taught us how the ADT security system works. I was told about this company from my aunt. She was right. It is the best security system!
