Tips for Sage Woodfire Tavern Perimeter

RUDE, RUDE, RUDE, RUDE!!! Today, myself and 6 co-workers came to Sage Perimeter Mall for a birthday celebration. When we walked in, we mentioned to the waitress and server that it was really cold in the restaurant. The waitress said, "Well I don't know what else to tell you but there is the door." We still sat down after the rude comment but asked to speak with a manager. After a 5-10 minute wait, the manager, Kristin came over. When I was telling her what occurred, she was already on the "DEFENSIVE" about the heat. She said, "The heat is working hard it is a very large building. Unfortunately, it is alot colder today than it was yesterday." I tried to explain to her that we could deal with the temperature of the restaurant but the rude treatment would not be tolerated. While I explaining this to her, the server overheard me and started laughing about the comment. Kristin said, "Well who said this?" We told her it was the server and she began to defend her. She said, "She told you there is the door because we don't want our customers to be uncomfortable." We all got up and left. This was very poor customer service. The team of co-workers that stopped by work in Marketing and Customer Service at Arby's. You just missed out on atleast a $140 lunch check. We will not be back and will spread the word to all of the 300 or so employees at the support center. We really loved your establishment and had great times in the past but no one is going to pay $20 a head for lunch and be treated rudely.

I wear my sunglasses at night. Wow... what can I say? My family and I visited Sage for my wife's' birthday. Based on past experiences we thought we were in for a treat, but much to our surprise we were greatly disappointed. Apparently we were graced by the presence of the owner and his younger intoxicated dates, who appeared to be half his age. I must say that my family and I were very uncomfortable. He generally appears to have much more class, but on this particular night he was very bizarre. The Owner and his "dates" were obnoxious, causing a seen, and spilling drinks. It was quite obvious they were under the influence of something besides alcohol. I understand a good time, and feel this would be appropriate in another setting, certainly not in the restuarant that you own. I couldn't even focus on my family's occassion! Needless to say I will not be back, if I want to see Joe Pesci on dope I'll rent Casino.

Incredible Food and Incredible Service!!. Went there last night with my husband and had a great time. From the minute you walk in they took incredible care of us, from the hostess to the waiter, the manager even came by and said hello and asked how we were doing. The food was delicious and we will definitely be going back soon, LOVED IT!!

Great food and atmosphere. I have been here a few times over the past 2 months and every time enjoyed myself to the fullest. The food and service is always great. I had some friends come into town over the holidays and thought it was a great place to bring them and they loved it. Great food and atmosphere. Looking forward to going again!

Another Great Evening!. After having such a great experience in November with their sister restaurant in Alpharetta I decided to venture down to Perimeter. Again I received excellent service and the food was delicious! Sage has definitely has won my vote on best place to Dine in Atlanta. Thanks Sage for another great evening.

Not worth the price. The more a restaurant charges the higher my expectations. Based on my first -- and last -- visit to Sage they don't hit the mark. Bland scallops, limp sauteed green beans, slow service. Caveat emptor, baby!

Great Food and Hot Looking Spot. Everyone reading this should give Sage a try. My wife turned me on to it after her, friends and co-workers enjoyed if for over a year. We recently moved into the area and now I'm a fan. The chicken dishes and pastas are incredible and the decor is beyond what I have experienced at other spots. The wood fire cooking process does make a difference. In the bar area, they have these BLUE lighted high tables and a really cool look for those who want a break from the typical. Great spot.

Good tapas and drinks. Here is my advice: Go here for drinks and appetizers. Do not go for dinner!

The martinis are good although alittle frilly, that is the norm now a days. They have a tapas menu that is better than most. The Braised short ribs are the best thing they make by far, The BBQ pulled pork sliders, thai chicken skewers, and crab cake are all good. Calamari, bacon wrapped shrimp, and shrimp and grits sound good but are sub par.

I've had dinner there once and it was amateur at best. I had a scallops, mac and cheese, and asparagus. I wouldn't recommend any of these things. Our food took about 30-35 minutes to come out, and the restaurant wasn't even on a wait. The server was a cocktail waitress that had no idea what was on the menu and had to go ask others for the answers to our questions. She was very attractive but not much upstairs. She didn't come to check on us until we were almost finished.

Again, I've been to the bar several times and usually get decent srvice there. But, if the guitar player is there just leave and go somewhere else. It is so loud you can't think.
