An old fashioned diner meets farm to table cuisine with an art gallery on premises. The restaurant was recently featured on Anthony Bourdain's Layover TV show
Made from scratch breakfast and lunch options; all healthy and organic. The chicken biscuit and fried green tomatoes are must orders.

Stop what you're doing and go get the cozy chicken biscuit - it's so good it'll change your whole outlook on biscuits and gravy.
I love Home Grown. Home Grown has the BEST pancakes in the entire universe. Seriously, if currency fell through tomorrow I am sure people would trade there pancakes like the native americans did with shells. Bravo Home Grown!
Citysearch Editorial Review. Home Grown, a humble breakfast and lunch counter off Memorial, is a cute combination of old and new. Flower boxes line the green and white exterior, while comfy pine paneling gets decorated with edgy art inside the diner. The menu is one part blue collar and one part gourmand, with all of the reasonably priced items presented neatly. Traditional breakfast sees an expected lineup of platters, such as homemade biscuits and pancake stacks, but the blue plate lunch shows off the kitchen’s versatility. Fried green tomatoes are tart, crisp and come with a biting horseradish sauce, trout is thinly filleted and herb-crusted and the grilled cheese goes the way of the pimento. Desserts such as homemade Rice Crispy treats further show that while the kitchen obviously knows its stuff, the chefs aren’t afraid to be simple and real. And for that, we applaud them.
