Worst Place Ever Stay Away. There are people pushing drugs in parking lot. You can get what you want but plan on going thro detox for a long time. Will not stay opened as DEA and local law enforcement has had many complaints from patients and other tenants in building. The doctor is nice but pill pusher and Jack is messed up himself on medication. Its legal why to sell pills make alot money close up and reopen somewhere else.I call DEA at least 2-3 times a week to check on status. They say all employee will spend time in jail and doctor will lose license. I will not rest untill it happens. My son almost died from this office. Hey Jack would you do this to your daughter? Why do it to other children? WHY? Kids talk about your office - pull money together and go..STOP IT JACK. You are going down
Willing to listen and help as best they can. Great place to go when you need help from a doc that listens and seems to understands. (Not the typical arrogance you find at most other places). I have the option to go to any other place wanted and get a 5 min hello and goodbye see you next visit, but the doc and staff here make sure your not just a number. Hats off to you GH&W
Total PILL MILL!!!!.
If you want to sit in a waiting room with people falling asleep (obviously triple dosing on meds), enjoy paying an arm and a leg, dealing with an incompetent staff which includes the owner (Jack) who likes to play Dr. and probably has a tenth grade education at most, then this the right place to go. They say they take insurance but that's so not true. They have no idea how to bill the insurance company and give a whole wheel and deal sales pitch like a used car salesman. There's no question you'll get some hardcore meds though. I was offered choices like a menu. I could have fentanyl, roxicodone, oxycontin, norco, Xanax, Valium, soma, flexeril, morphine and dilaudid. I think those were all my options. I basically got to pick which I certainly thought the Dr. should do considering he did go to medical school oh and did I mention HE'S THE DOCTOR, NOT ME!!! I walked out of there with 90 Xanax, fentanyl, soma, and 180 dilaudid tablets for break through pain. That is some heavy stuff and lots of it. I almost wonder if they wanted me in a coma? I went a few times and it was always the same situation even with a totally knocked out mother and daughter who were openly talking about "what did he give you? I got xxxx" , after they both saw the dr separately. Just a lil shady considering the dr. spent maybe 10 minutes at the most for both of them. ALL THEY DO HERE IS MEDICATION - NO INJECTIONS, PHYSICAL THERAPY, JUST LOTS AND LOTS OF THE MEDS OF YOUR CHOICE. DON'T WORRY ABOUT THE STRENGTH, YOU'LL ALWAYS GET THE STRONGEST!!! So basically this is the BEST place for the "good stuff". As
long as you don't mind that methadone themed waiting room, spending $100 - $250 for maybe 5 minutes with the Dr. I'm referring to Dr. Christopher Stevens, I have no clue how other Dr. operates but most likely the same. Or you can skip your appointment and buy pain meds in the parking garage. 2 times I was asked if I wanted to buy drugs by Georgia health and wellness patients right outside the building. I'm sure this place will get shut down soon so junkies better get a head start!
For any new patient wondering if this is true I will set you straight. If you are looking for a PILL MILL then do not call GHW. If you are a true chronic pain patient then we would be happy to assist you in improving your life. All mentioned above are utter lies from pennand teller.
Wow....angry much? I think PennandTeller must have Georgia Health and Wellness confused with some other office. I am a LEGITAMATE chronic pain patient and have been coming here for over a year now. I REFUSE to go to a slapped up overnight, strip-mall pain clinic filled with junkies. This office has always treated me with full respect and Dr.Stevens actually takes the time to examine and listen to my needs and the progress of my treatment. When I first came to him I was very over-medicated from my previous doctor. He has helped me come a long way and make my life tolerable. I have tried every option known to man to treat my condition and for the first time in years I am actually functioning under a some what normal lifestyle. This office has even made special arrangements for me to have my special formulated medication compounded each month for me at a pharmacy. I have also done some physical therapy here which helped some. Its a shame that these pain clinics are ruining the practice of medicine. The other patients that I have met here are normal, decent people in need of pain relief. It took me a month to even get in as a patient here. I have never seen passed out scum bags like you have claimed to have seen or people loitering and selling drugs. I think you're confused buddy.
Do you notice that the names of the doctors are nowhere on this site? Isn't that a little suspicious? I spent two hours going through my files for my relevant medical records, got my old X-rays they wanted out of storage, got prescription histories from the pharmacies I've used, and took the afternoon off from work to see these people. When I got there, I was informed that they wouldn't even see me without an MRI! They had said NOTHING about this in the long list of records they told me to bring. I lost half a day of work because of these people and now I have to find a doctor who has his act together enough to tell people what records to bring.
Oh, also, the parking lot's entrance has a huge bump that messed up my car's alignment and dented the muffler. I think the clinic should pay to have that repaired.
Very Happy!. I was very pleased with my first visit last week. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The doctor took a lot of time and asked a lot of questions. I didn't feel like they we're rushing me out the door. I look forward to my next visit.
Thank You. I've been suffering from pain since 2005 when I was in a rollover accident, most doctors just wanted to tell me what I needed to do GHW actually listened to me and was concerned with what I had to say. I could not say enough praise to GHW and the staff for actually caring about my pain not just my money.
REBUTTAL TO ALLEGED PILL MILL....
This rebuttal is so that when new patients are seeking relief for chronic pain they know that the person who wrote this has not a clue on how Georgia Health & Wellness operates.
First of all I would like to clarify many things starting with, we do accept insurance just not medicare or medicaid. we do offer more then just medication therapy such as traction tables, E-Stim, ultrasound, hot & cold packs, and speciatly refferals to other doctors's.
Next Dr. Stevens does not operate like a menu, actually operates completely opposite of that in a manner that we at GHW DO NOT WANT DOCTOR SHOPPERS, DRUG ADDICTS, OR DRUG DEALERS TRYING TO GET MEDICATION FOR THE WRONG USE. Any of our real chronic pain patients can vouch for that seeing you have to go thru a very intense screening process.
The bottom line of the review that was written is this. The perosn who wrote this doesnt have any knowledge of what they are talking about and are mad that they got discharged for not abidding by his medical contract that he signed with GHW.
Dr. Stevens is one of the best Doctors I know when it comes to his vast knowledge of medecine and other specialties that GHW offers. If he wasnt his current patients wouldnt write thank you letters to him about how much relief they are getting and how there overall quality of life has changed.
Please keep your negative and flase comments to yourself.
