Popular taqueria from the ‘burbs gets an ITP address..
In Short
Smack-dab in the middle of Inman Park, this suburban-based taqueria sticks to their OTP guns, boasting a filling station aesthetic and an easy-to-like taco joint menu. And for the demographic, it fits in perfectly. VaHi yuppies, thrifty, artistic types and 30-something singletons mingle together, enjoying strong drinks (or cheap Black Label beer) and Mexican staples. Their tacos are predictable, but the gorditas de Puerco -- a pocket of pork and cheese stuffed between two crispy fried masa discs -- is decadent and memorable. Pure certainly isn’t authentic, but sometimes it doesn’t have to be.
