“Super helpful staff!”
Homeowners, stay away from MyhomeSpot,
and renters:DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!! They have all kind of schemes to scam their clients. They charge a NSF fee of $50 in addition to a $75 + $10 per day late fee. They will charge you a $100 no show fee if they send a maintenance guy to you place and he meets your absence. They will also try to pin some repairs on you when possible so stay as far away from them as you can!!!
We have rented a condo from this company for the last two and half years and have been good tenants all along, although we had a rough start with them. We even renewed our lease last year but completely regret this decision now and cant wait for our lease to end in two months. God help us if they try to mess up with our rent deposit, we are so angry we are ready to go to the supreme court if necessary :-), every consumer protection agency, every website, every media outlet in the country to make sure these people do not take a dime from us without cause :-)......
Of all they issues we have had with myhomespot, the latest one takes the cake. A few months ago, when the HOA changed billing companies, our water bill went from $35 to almost $300 . Interestingly, the house was empty that month, we were on vacation. Since it was obvious that there was a problem with the water meter, the owner/myhomespot decided to take care of the issue with the HOA and the billing company. A few weeks later, representatives from both entities inspected our meter and concluded there was a problem since it was running though all taps were closed.
The owner/myshomespot asked that we do not pay anything towards water while there were working on resolving the problem. Four months later, they asked that we pay a flat fee of $75 for water every month over a period of time, which is almost double of what our normal bill used to be . In spite of the fact that there was no bill for this, we agreed and paid the amount for 4 months to make up for the months when no payment was made. Now that we have decided to stop the payments because we feel the amount we have paid so far is enough to cover any potential arrears and current bills, Myhomespot wants us to pay even those bills with outrageous amounts, on the basis that they are getting nowhere with the HOA/billing company, and that according to our lease, it is our responsibility to pay for the water bills. Instead of fighting the HOA / billing company for the faulty meter, they have chose to bully and defraud us. This is simply unacceptable. We have however decided not to pay a single cent more to these people who do not know how to retain customers(renters). We will go to court if necessary to resolve the issue. In the meantime, to all of you out there, please do not associate with this company in any way.
Extremely UNPROFESSIONAL! Beware! Learned of horrible reviews After I began application process. Boy did they live up to their horrible reputation. The entire process was a nitemare in which I could barely get the agent on the phone. I had to contact my agent (Tricia Pazol) to confirm my appt to view the property only to have her tell me THE DAY BEFORE, VIA TEXT, that the property was "no longer available, good luck finding your perfect home" REALLY? After multiple calls she answered and confessed in so many words that I didn't fit the "description" of the owners future tenant. What description? My application and qualifications are above average. She then told me she was sorry and would go and speak with the owner again. As you can imagine by this point I was totally uninterested. I was openly discriminated against on grounds of race alone! I would not recommend this company to anyone.
NEVER use MyHomeSpot. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with. I have been a landlord and a tenant in life, and I know how this business works. They do not. Upon moving out of my rental, I was charged over $1800 in fees. After back and forth with the unprofessionalism, it was reduced to $0 in fees. Every charge was fraudulent and I had to prove them wrong in every way. And this instance is only when I moved out. I could go on and on and on about how horrible renting from them was. From a disgusting rental they said was clean, to them trying to charge me for a plumber to come and fix a pipe leaking in the garage, to them sending me personal information on another tenant! To save yourself a lot of headache, search elsewhere for a property manager or place to rent. It will be the best decision you can make.
I love my apartment!. I really had a good experience with myhomespot. I contacted them about a property and it turned out that it wasn't what I wanted exactly but they managed to find me another one that was perfect! Super helpful staff!
Overall good experience. So far I have had a really positive experience. They rented out my condo in like a week and a half which is pretty impressive. Considering I am out of state, having all my property's info online is very important to me too. All in all I have been pleased.
Finally a property management company I like.... Having paid rent to a lot of different property management companies in Atlanta over the years I can say that it has been a nightmare. That is until I rented a property from the guys at myhomespot. For once everything went smoothly from viewing the property to applying for it to moving in. That AND paying rent and viewing my account online is a major convenience. No more driving all the way across town to pay rent!
