“Great place with great service”
Great place with great service. I have found this place, one of the warmest and most inviting places to eat. The beer and beverage selection in wonderful and the staff is warm and very friendly. The menu has things for all tastes, amongst my favorites have been the steak and the fish (tuna and salmon). If your looking for a great place to go, where everyone is welcoming, then this is the place.
Best $ 10 Steak Tuesday Special.
I moved to Kennesaw in September last year and found a new home at Highlands - I met many new friends here. The food is always excellent and the beer is always cold and served with a smile.
Lots of music, entertainment and Specials.
Wait staff is excellent. Bartenders are too.
These are folks that really care about their clientele and it doesn't matter if you are college age, yuppie, hippie, middle age or an old fogey like me Highlands is a place for everyone.
Oh, by the way, you gotta try those green beans on the side.

Thank you for your comments.
Ignore the old reviews- this is not a taco mac.
fantasticplace to hangout, grab a draft beer and relax afterwork-
they sometimes do randall nights (if you're a beer lover you'll know what that is)
mix of ksu students to 40 somethings- they have a new owner as well -
Their menu is pretty diverse- steaks, seafood, and huge salads-
Laidback hangout with prime people-watching, Buffalo wings and beer galore..
The Scene
Since the opening of its Virginia Highlands flagship store, Taco Mac has grown to 19 Atlanta locations. The casual meeting spot keeps its customers coming back with its huge beer selection (from 25 to 108 draught beers depeding on location), unpretentious food and no dress code. The laidback attitude attracts young families with children and after-work minglers. Simply decorated with neon beer signs, beer coolers and TVs showing sports, the Mac caters to those who don't want to grow up.
The Draw
The huge beer selection and non-stop wings make new customers regulars. The Buffalo wings are customized, available in four different spice levels: mild to Three Mile Island. An updated menu offers a fresh change with grilled salmon salad and shrimp fajitas, but keeps the popular Tex-Mex favorites and huge sandwiches. Taco Mac's outdoor deck gets the crowds from early spring to late fall.
Don't let the name fool you -- this is not Mexican!. Taco Mac's are basically a big, loud sports bar with many TVs that mainly serves wings and beer. There are only a couple of tex-mex items on the menu and they are mediocre at best. We thought we were going to find some good Mexican food but were very disappointed. We didn't try the wings so can't vouch for them.
