“If I'm in that area I would recommend Tongue and Grove, Whiskey Blue, Mood or Beluga way before wasting my money here.”
Don't waste your time. I visited Gold Room for the first time tonight. To start with the parking area is tiny and was closed off. We had to park blocks away. A friend attempted to ask a doorman if there was a cover and was ignored. He was finally told by another employee that it was $20 for men and nothing for women. At the entrance someone named Lala asked for my card and charged $10. I said that I did not want to go in and wanted a refund to be told by Lala that that was "retarded" and then was pushed in by the doorman who said that we could not stand in the entrance. Once inside we were stumbled over on the almost nonexistant dance floor and I was groped twice by drunk old men. I went back out and asked again for a refund to be met by more rudeness and aggresion from Lala. I asked for the manager and his name. I was told by Lala that his name was Jason and that all he would give me was a "hassle". I have been in clubs around the world and never in one as tacky and with such a lack of care for the client's satifaction and enjoyment as this one. Atlanta has many better options.
Don't waste your time or money....
If I could rate them a negative 10, then I would. Horrible service from valet service to the rude doorman to the bartenders.
Don't waster your time...go to Tongue and Groove, Havana Club, or Whiskey Park...
Golden Moments. The place is actually doing something that no other club in Atlanta is. It is bring a Vegas level of entertainment to Atlanta, shrugging trends and the economic climate to bring the city over the top entertainment.
Not worth it...
It's four walls with some tables and an upstairs. The place is not dynamic at all so it feels very stale, especially when it's not busy. The 2 times I've been we're exactly the case. The music nor the clientele help break up the monotony of the room or atmosphere. They should consider renaming it the "Black Room" as there is very little gold anywhere which was very surprising / ironic. Service is very SUBPAR especially considering their price points. Not cheap.
If I'm in that area I would recommend Tongue and Grove, Whiskey Blue, Mood or Beluga way before wasting my money here.
