Indian experience falls short despite good food..
In Short
Little Five Points is the type of ‘hood that embraces the peculiar, but even this might be a stretch. Florescent lighting does little for the décor, whose sad carpet and tables from another decade weren’t inviting to begin with. Niramish does vegetarian and seafood Indian dishes, however nothing on the menu is vegan-friendly. Despite the lack of activity in the dining room, food takes what feels like an eternity to come out but once it arrives is quite good. The vegetable platter will feed at least two people while dosas overlap the plate like a giant burrito. Their version of vegetable tandoori arrives sizzling and smelling wonderfully like Indian fajitas. Service is eager and endearing but that only goes so far when there is a severe language barrier. Your best bet for the entire package is Café Bombay up the street.
