High-brow boutique does cool duds for guys and gals.. In Short Taking its name from the famed Harlem neighborhood of ritzy town homes that once prohibited black ownership, “Strivers” were the hard-working African Americans who eventually snatched up the property and saved the skin of the developer. Strivers Row, a cute clothing boutique in Virginia Highland, opens its doors every day with this idea fresh in mind. Decorated with sports-related antiques from the past, cherry wood-paneled racks, Asian rugs and colorful mosaic chandelier, Strivers Row specializes in super high end Japanese denim and labels such as William Rast (Justin Timberlake’s line), Dylan George, and PRPS. This unisex boutique also offers jeans and Canterbury rugby shirts for ladies and has begun its own line of bold-color t-shirts with flashy gold logos.
