Taking up shop in what looks like a small concrete shed with a garage door in Inman Park, At the Collective houses tons of items from local and not-so-local artisans, craftsmen and entrepreneurs. Head through the potted plant-adorned patio to find gifts ranging from hand carved items, to fresh off the Georgia orchard peaches (in season of course). The collective is a massively eclectic, hippy-like shop for the urban dweller. Words like sustainable, organic, and free-trade run rampant throughout the square-shaped shop, allowing shoppers to buy with a clean conscience. Home accessories, funky beaded jewelry, and gourmet dog biscuits may run you small boutique prices, but you won’t be likely to see many neighbors flaunting the same goods you purchase there.
