Tucked away in a brick building in Inman Park, a small arbor trellis leads the path up a few wooden stairs to upscale chocolate boutique Cacao. From the over the top procedure (white glove, sterling silver tablet transport of truffles), to the purism (they make dark chocolate from beans, nothing pre-fab or bought-in), to the retro (making chocolate the way the Aztec Indians enjoyed it), this chocolate heaven caters to those who truly want to indulge. Double espresso-sized cups of Aztec cocoa have a frothy, spicy taste, served hot in the winter and cold in the summer. Homemade marshmallows and hibiscus flowers are dipped in chocolate, truffles are infused with the likes of bourbon and spices, and simple chocolate bars show off a versatility not usually reserved for a single style of sweet.
