Bring your own bottle of wine or six pack and make friends with whoever is sitting with you at one of the large communal tables in the kitchen.

love the pizza and the atmosphere; sitting in the kitchen, listening to some old school Dean Martin and chowing down on the best in Atlanta...hard to beat!
Anxious to try "Best Pizza in Atlanta." Unbelievably overrated! $50.00 for a pizza and a calzone that over 50% of it was left. Most of the pizza and the calzone were dough - which was not completely cooked. Save your money and buy Papa John's!
Like Back In Naples, Italy. We lived in Naples, Italy for over 3 years. Antico's is like going back there. The buffalo mozzerella, sweet spicy peppers, Italian sausage with olive oil on top is like heaven to a pizza lover. I like all pizza - top of the food groups, but Neopolitan pizza has nothing to compare with it. About 10 minutes and it's piping hot at your table.
For an evening you'll be transported to Naples, Italy.. Phenomenal! Environment may have been at least half of my happiness while I was there. BYOB! Get a seat before you order your pizza, it comes fast!
Never again.....
Knowing the "no additions/substitutions/changes" rule at this establishment, we carefully selected our pizza from the offerings listed on the menu and because of ingredients. When the pizza was delivered without one of the ingredients LISTED ON THE MENU, we asked 2 of the wait staff and were told "that's how it's done." FYI... it's not on the menu but if you choose to add a topping to the Margherita they don't put basil on the pizza.
We finally talked to one of the owners, who was so astoundingly rude even the strangers at the table with us were speechless because of his bahavior. When I tried to explain that we simply wanted the pizza as it was listed on the menu (with basil) we were told by the owner to put the raw basil on it and eat it.... that he knows what is best because he has been doing this a long time. I was stunned not only by his attitude, but by the way he talked over me and appeared disgusted that I would even question him even though he is the one with it printed on his menu!
Round 2 came up on the way out when one of my friends asked him his name... and he refused to tell her. (One of the wait staff confirmed he is one of the owners.) It ended with us telling him he clearly doesn't understand customer service and his rudeness is unacceptable. The couple at the table with us told him the same. When someone mentioned it wouldn't help when this was posted on websites, the owner actually said he didn't care because his reviews are always great! (Apparently Giovanni doesn't read all the bad reviews on the sites.) Because you pay for the pizza when you order it, he already has your money and doesn't care if you are happy with it... even if it's not what you ordered or how it's printed on the menu.
In addition to the inexcusable treatment, the crust was soggy in the middle. Definitely not worth paying money to "hope" you get a seat in a room without air only to be treated horribly. Now having read many reviews on various sites it appears rudeness is the norm in this place.
Best Pizza in Georgia. Love their pizza and even though you have to wait forever to order it is totally worth it! Also a nice touch that you can bring your own alcohol!
Great pizza, but a little cramped.. Antico has really good pizza, but the seating is pretty limited. I work right down the road at the package store and eat there on a pretty regular basis. I really like the pizza because they have great flavor and taste fresh.I like to get there when they open and usually do pick up because it can get real cramped real fast. Not to mention the noise level goes up exponentially. The parking is pretty limited. All of the pizzas have good ingredients that come from Italy. I see a few postings saying the pizza is greasy, but I think it's just the olive oil they pour on the pizza when it comes out of the oven. Some people just don't pay attention. They also have some pretty good cannolis, but they're not the main attraction. I like the fact that they offer what is on the menu and that's it. They're pretty busy and it keeps the line moving. So man up and quit your bitchin that they won't do your special order. All in all I would recommend that everyone try the pizza here at least once.
Don't believe the BULLSHIT. Man, all this place did was show up in town with a greasy, half-assed pizza and pay some PR firm to post a bunch of positive reviews on the web. Go ahead and go one time to see for yourself. It sucks. The dine-in experience is god-awful (there's about four tables and three of them are in the kitchen), the pizza is greasy and overpriced (I paid $30 for a pepperoni pizza and two waters). There is nothing here worth praising, and there are far too many decent pizza places in Atlanta to even bother with this pretentious, overpriced pit stain of a pizza joint.
Best Pizza in Atlanta.
After first trying the pizza on a whim after reading about it on cnn I am absolutely hooked on what is quite possibly the best pizza in Atlanta. Conveniently located in MIdtown just off of 14th street and blocks from the GA Tech campus. There is plenty of free parking, and a parking attendant at night on busy nights to maintain order during crowded times.
For spice lovers, the Diavaola pizza is absolutely divine. Liberally covered with some of the most flavorful spicy red peppers I've ever tasted, the combination of cheese, peppers, and spicy pepperoni make for a heavenly combination.
A must try!
Craving for authentic Italian pizza. Been around looking for an authentic Italian pizza and found Antico! Pizza was great!
