The Italian house restaurant at the Renaissance is taking American food for a spin. Helmed by a Top Chef, the 48 hr short rib is to die for

Mouth Watering Experience. Just right off of West Peachtree St. in walking distance to Georgia Tech, the Fox, Cavalia, the Cheetah, nightclubs and bars, Briza Restaurant has the whole package. With a great location and fantastic mouth watering food why wouldn't you stop in?!?! I believe it was another restaurant before but guess it did not last but Briza has got it! The gorgeous space and decor will blow you away. The adorable date night circular booths and large party long tables welcomes any event one could celebrate! I cannot wait for the rooftop to open in the Spring, it looks like a late night Miami feel hang out but it could also do as a city wedding reception! Very functional restaurant, bar and lounge space and I cannot wait to go back! Now that I have talked up the space lets get to the FOOD. I first started off with something that sounded interesting and I had to try..grilled calamari? It was delicious, not fried but grilled with a vinaigrette flavoring. For my entree it was a tough decision, between the shrooms and grits or the pork chop, and I chose the meat! The brussel sprouts that came with the pork chops were unreal with a nice crunch. And those dumplings.. O-M-G to ddiiieee for. I would have had a whole plate of those. Sweet potato and onion dumplings?! Very scrumptious dishes and I enjoyed my dinner with a lovely glass of pinot nior selected by my very knowledgable server. He helped me through the whole menu and specified each dish tastefully and in all honesty I cannot wait to go back and next time I think I'll try the shroom and grits! YOU MUST TRY THIS RESTAURANT!

Scrumptious Food, but...inappropriate server. As a returning customer, Friday, Sept. 10th, we were looking forward to a romantic evening at Pacci. To our surprise, for a classy restaurant--while we were waiting for our table in the downstairs bar/lounge area, our female server was repeatedly inappropriate with my date. He conducted himself, nontheless, as a perfect gentleman. Sad to say her behavior was tasteless--to say the least and created an uncomfortable situation. Perhaps she should be informed the dining experience is about the customer not the server. When dining at a classier establishment, I do expect servers to behave accordingly. We do not plan on returning "nor" recommending Pacci in the future.

My new favorite restaurant. Pacci is the posh hotel restaurant that dreams are made of. Its glamorous, relaxed, European living-room style cradles diners and business meetings alike in its plush burgundy sofas and hardwood accents, while Europop and jazz fusion softly plays. The eloquent, knowledgeable wait staff will ease you through the potential intimidation of such a high-caliber restaurant without a single nuance of haughty aristocracy. Chef Keira Moritz uses fresh local ingredients to create an amazing combination of textures, flavors, and aromas.

If an appetizer like duck confit with Gorgonzola polenta and blackberry marmalade isn't enough to send your heart (and taste buds) aflutter, try the Warm Apple Pie, a nonalcoholic "winter warmer" specialty drink that's a glorious liquid rendition of its namesake. My dining companion and I would gladly have consumed a pitcher of this wonderful nectar, though be warned that the sediment at the bottom of the glass could ruin the last sip.

Whether you spend a couple hours at Pacci unwinding at the end of a hectic day or sneak away for a brief lunch interlude, you won't regret dropping by. Even bringing a good book in lieu of a companion can make this an elegant oasis full of as many polite, helpful employees as terrific food options. Do not be intimidated by this exquisite restaurant. The food is worth it!

Paying for the Ambience. The atmosphere is very posh and beautiful. I enjoyed that they offered 1/2 plates so that we could taste more of the menu, but it is a little high priced. My fiance' and I split the Spinach and Frisee salad which was delightful. He then ordered the short rib gnocchi and I got the pappardelle bolognese. The gnocchi was very rich and beffy. The pappardelle was good, but not the best I've ever had. Overall it's a good place to go for a fancy night out, but to go out of your way for this Italian restaurant will leave you wanting more.

Serious Female Chef Brings Italian Home!. Up and coming Georgia native, Chef Keira Moritz brings home Italian, to the upscale Midtown Hotel scene. Nothing out of the ordinary, but great surroundings, eager young staff, made the experience enjoyable. We started with Insalata Caprese made with fresh heirloom tomatoes. And then a very good Vidalia Onion soup. But the super tender Duck Confit, falling from the bone with a really thin, crisp crust, over polenta, was the bomb. The Tuna Carpaccio with bits of grapefruit and avacado was wonderful. I'd say avoid the steaks, and just go for the wonderful straight-forward Italian. We went upstairs to AltoRex on the roof, for a nightcap.

Upscale dining digs in the fashionable Hotel Palomar.. Inside the chic Hotel Palomar, Pacci combibes Northern Italian staples with masculine steakhouse favorites. Outfitted with curvy banquettes, sultry dark fabrics and a towering bar, the dining room gives the vibe of glamour and is matched with a staff that is astonishingly devoid of L.A.-style pretention that the space implies. The young and energetic servers will be happy to suggest their favorites including the melt-in-your-mouth Kobe beef carpaccio (the namesake), mussels with an imaginative and brilliant milky corn based broth, and cuts of dry aged top quality meats. While their call-a-cab strong cocktails are tempting, a bottle of red seems like a proper option, selected from the towering and see-through wine cellar.
