Sit back & relax with a bottle of red at this cozy wine bar near Paces Ferry. They pride themselves on having a list with many affordable options, but they can happily oblige your urge to splurge on big ticket juice
Amazing deal in cuisine. Luckily I ran across the yelp reviews, and they were right on. Great value. Amazing food. The servers seemed gushed about the wine. We went on Tuesday for Two fer... Party of 4 with wine and dessert. Total bill less than $80 with tip. I paid more than that at Applebee's. Oh, and yes the Mac and cheese was killer, but the scallop was even better. My only complaint was it was a little loud. That being said, we weren't looking for a stuffy dinner, so that was ok. Cheers!
HORRIFIC SERVICE. Food was delish but the service was horrendous. I ate dinner here last night with girlfriends to celebrate a special occasion. My credit card was charged THREE times for my meal and friend's card was charge TWICE. I called the restaurant to attempt to rectify this and host on the phone Richard informed me that there was nothing he could do. I have worked in restaurants and asked to speak to the GM as I am aware that this can be rectified via telephone. (I've done it) He told me he could not locate the GM. Naturally, I was upset and I called back in a second attempt to speak with the GM. Richard called me by my first name (I assume he was using caller ID) and told me "I don't like your tone, you understand and if you want to speak to Eric you will change it" I was FLOORED!! Here they owe me $92 and he is chastising me like a child. I will NEVER eat here again. This type of behavior is unacceptable and I cannot believe they allow Richard to treat patrons with such nastiness and disregard.
A proper bar for the vino-loving East Andrews crowd..
In Short
Sitting cozily in the lower level of the East Andrews complex, Cellar 56 is the perfect wine and tapas spot built for folks with curious palettes. Boasting 56 types of wine to choose from, over half (30) are available by the glass or half glass allowing bar goers to sample and savor. The fact they are tiered from $3 to $10 makes it surprisingly easy on the wallet. There are no main courses, so sharing small plates is the way to go, and is on point for the concept. Clocking in around $5, tapas encompass everything from wine-accompaniment (daily cheese, olives) to hearty (slow roasted pork) to interesting (crab ceviche with avocado and grapefruit). Dark and warm interior, sharable menu, wines to try: this is an obvious no-brainer for a date. The pot of chocolate with an array of dipping options makes for a cute finale.
