What People Are Saying About Float

The Editor

In Short – With the ethos of providing a tranquil and relaxing full service spa for the budget-conscious, Float spa offers up standards like facials, body wraps, and all sorts of massage techniques in a surprisingly serene environment amidst the busy shops of bustling Inman Park. With a handful of rooms dedicated to different services Float immediately relaxes you with disarming and cheerfully polite customer service. (It is a spa after all.) A brick-walled foyer with good views of North Highland is easy on the eyes, while small, cream colored and dim-lit rooms are instantly welcoming…

Float away... to mediocrity.

by Bugalug at Citysearch

Let me start by saying the staff is very friendly. Some, not so knowledgeable on the products for sale, as they had to repeatedly price check everything when I asked how much things cost. James, the esthetician, is very laid back and nice; however, he sort of bashed every product I said I used which wasn't Dermalogica. I understand you're trying to sell, but Dermalogica isn't the end all be all. As for the facial itself, it was lackluster. The bed was uncomfortable for my neck. The massage was really the nicest, and only relaxing part. I've been getting facials for six years, and this one was at the bottom of the list. I love how my skin looks after a facial, but my skin looked ruddy and stayed that way for two days after this one. You'll get a better facial at the Aveda school, and for the same price. I was really hoping to love this place. Oh, well.

  • Pros: Friendly staff
  • Cons: Only relaxing part of facial is the massage.

Would not go back

by ss716 at Citysearch

I had a massage here and although the price was great ($39 for 1 hour) my appointment was cut short by ten minutes. You definitely get what you pay for. My massage was nothing special and I did not feel rejuvinated and refreshed afterwards.

My advice...pay the extra $30 and go to a real spa and get the most for your money.

  • Pros: Good prices
  • Cons: Lackluster massage

awful

by manycolors2 at Citysearch

in 40 years of my life never have seen anything so bad.

massage was a joke. simply she moisturized my body. I had asked for deep tissue massage and during I reminded her that but she just would not do it. she started the massage 15 minutes late but ended it om time, so it was 45 min not 1 hour.

then i went to the facial. this is another story: he basically did not put a mask on my face but he claimed he did. I will stop here since it is even more frustrating to write about this horrible experience. In the end the receptionist asked me how everything was I told her about it and she was nice enough to say she was sorry and she wanted to give me some discount or a coupon and said NO THANKS and left. Oh the receptionist also wanted to give me a coupon so I could have another 39 dollar massage and this is BS since 39 dollar is their fix price , not a first time promo. What a crap hole...wow

  • Pros: nothing
  • Cons: everything
