In Short – Stuffed in the back of a building on the industrial-friendly Westside, the small space welcomes neighbors and quick stopper-bys with a blackboard of daily specials and a colorful side room for those dining in. Anchored by an experienced catering company (Figs and Honey has long operated out of this space) the menu does sandwiches and gourmet-to-go with an emphasis on simplicity and quality. (AKA – it rules.) Meats are all house-roasted and select breads get shipped in from as far as New Orleans. A mean Cuban pairs guava mojo pork loin and a generous amount of melty Swiss while…

ridiculous sandwiches.

by HunterPearson

Recently I've been on sandwich kick. And maybe it's because my expectations have risen over the last few years with the likes of the fried green tomato at BLT or anything Linton Hopkins served at his now-defunct H&F Bread.

My new favorite sammie shop is TINY Bistro, and mostly because they do bang-up versions of 2 sandwiches I've recently grown to love, the Cuban and pimento cheese. I had a strong dislike for both as a kid, but La Fonda got me liking Cubans, and the Masters got me on pimento cheese.

The Cuban is just a good, solid standard, but has slight upgrades in all the ingredients. The pimento cheese however, is spicy (surprise!) and served on sourdough bread. Also, you can get the sandwiches in either a half or whole sizes. Whole will put you in a coma. Get the half and savor it.
