Great Mexican spot from the folks @ the Vortex; sopes and tamales are my favorite. They also have really cool artwork and the service is always good!

my new favorite place. My sister loves this place, so she dragged me here together with my friend. We were delighted by the quality of food and excellence of service provided to us. I loved the flavorful taste of their food. It definitely pacified our cravings.

Just Ok. I'm on the search for GREAT Mexican food. Came here b/c the reviews looked promising.

We went off the waitresses recommendations, which I usually think are the way to go...these people know what is ordered most and have sampled a large portion of the menu.

Beef Barbacoa taco- was rich and meaty and pretty darn tasty.

Camarones- were saturated in a cream, sweet sauce that was so thick you couldn't even taste the Shrimp, it was disgusting. I tried to scrape off some of the sauce and it didn't do much good. What's the point of ordering good shrimp if it's doused in cream?

Would not recommend this place, but if I was forced to come here again I'd just order the Beef Barbacoa.

Spicy cocktail? You had us at Hello!. At the recommendation of Editor Jonathan Baker, I recently hit Bone Garden for a happy hour and gave their spicy chile margarita a try. Holy moly. It's one part sweet, one part tropical, one part spicy. And for a spice-happy guy, it was a match made in heaven. I wanted four. Right now.

On the food end, go with their Mexican street food. Empanadas, tortas, goat tacos (or their cow tongue was good too), tamales. I love the Vortex, and this is the same people that run that place, so I knew I was going to like it before I even walked in. Sort of a weird location... but worth a trek over to the industrial west side.

Must Try. A friend and I tried Bone Garden this past weekend and it was awesome! I tried a taco, enchilada, queso and a few drink specials and enjoyed them all.

Great Food, Killer Margaritas. We finally tried Bone Garden the other day and it rocked. The patio scene was packed full of people and the food & music was great. I had the Al Pastor, which was a pork taco with pineapple, cilantro, peanut sauce, etc and the tilapia taco-- both were awesome. The decor, the vibe, the margaritas and the food were all unique and cool, even in a town full of great options. I'll be back.

No Good!!!. I had high hopes, but guys, it just wasn't good. From the guac to the tacos, it was all disgusting. I really don't throw that word around either, but truly, disgusting...

This is a great little secret!. We all have our favorite little Mexican place...you know, the one you go to at the drop of a hat, you walk right in, sit down and have a great priced meal, right?

Well, I have finally found mine in Bone Garden Cantina! Tucked out of the way in a cool loft development, BGC brings a great atmosphere, eager staff, and some amazing dishes, and all very reasonably priced. The chciken quesadillas melt in your mouth. As a Harley rider, I especially love the Bone-Biker! Give it a try soon, before everybody knows about it!

Refreshing change, Needs a little work. The food was a refreshing change from typical Mexican fare and it was spiced well. They don't hold off on the heat level and I was impressed by that. The staff were very friendly and our server (cool girl with blond hair, tattoos, and a great smile) took excellent care of our large group.

We shared many pitchers of margueritas and we spent a lot of money. At $25 a pop, we were all surprised that the margueritas were so weak. They were VERY weak and everyone in our group noticed this. You can get quality Texas Marguerita pitchers in ATL for around $16-20. We kindly requested some additional tequila in our next round of pitchers from the bartender, but we were turned down. We then asked for less ice (as the pitcher was 75% ice) and the bartender gave us pitchers that were 3/4 full...seemingly out of spite. I thought this was stingy and a bad move on the bartender's part as it turned off many people in our group who live in the immediate area of Bone Garden. These are people that can frequent Bone Garden and tell all their friends.

Bone Garden is promising, but it needs to be less stingy with its tequila pours. They should also offer weeknight specials to gain some traction.
