“that's about it (Ask for Sam- great server!)”
The drunken cherry bread pudding is a MUST order here! Cherries soaked in Jack Daniels, baked in brioche bread and topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce-it's pure heaven in your mouth!

There's no better hangover cure in Morningside than a bowl of oyster & grits and a tall bloody mary at Rosebud
Great brunch!. Good service as well. I would suggest it to any of my friends...give it a try.
Southern, Soulful & Simply Fantastic. I FINALLY made my way to Rosebud this past weekend after hearing such a great buzz about the place. We got there around 1pm on Sunday and had a short wait of about 10 minutes for Brunch. The layout of the restaurant is fantastic and we weren't crunched up to the bar as we waited for our table. There were tables built into the walls (with newspapers) and stools set up everywhere-- it was very inviting and a very relaxing place to wait for a table. The pomegranate mimosas were a refreshing way to start the day. For an appetizer we got some fried eggplant chips that were served with goat cheese and some kind of jam (tomato?). They were similar to fried green tomatoes, but had a much better texture and were much tastier than any fried greens I've ever had. I had the fried chicken for lunch and it was perfect-- seriously perfect. The mash potatoes ran into the sweet slaw and perfectly meshed with the crispy fresh green beans. I'll be back for the exact same dishes soon, but can't wait to try everything else.
un melange.
Two friends and I went to Food 101 for dinner tonight. It was the first visit for two of us, and the second visit for the other person. The food was tasty, and the service was friendly. We split a plate of yummy calamari (try it with the duck sauce, for a surprisingly wonderful flavor combination). We each had a different main course, then we split the Belgian waffle dessert. The food came out of the kitchen very promptly, especially considering that I ordered risotto!
I only had two relatively minor negative things to say: the waiter didn't seem to listen very well. My friend's wineglass had fruit pulp stuck to the inside of the glass, and the waiter tried to pass it off as being natural with such a fruity wine. It was also a bit noisy even though we were sitting in the very front.
All in all, it was worth going there, and I'd definitely go back.
