Making Atlanta worlds collide: Vintage Pizza..
In Short
Vintage Pizza does a remarkable job mixing OTP and ITP, family and singletons, gourmet cuisine and greasy eats. Lodged just outside the perimeter, the atmosphere is much more Inman Park than it is Suwannee, surprisingly enhanced by the charm of the all-brick, mixed-use development. (Who knew that was even possible?!) The inside is warm and inviting, and feels as if the place has been there forever; hosts smartly divide the restaurant between those with kids and those drinking. Well-executed, giant salads come out for the table while bruschetta gets extra olive oil for dipping. The pizza lands somewhere between Fritti and Everybody’s: fancier than suburban standards but not weird as to confuse people. It’s pizza that appears to be safe but then surprises you with how damn good it is. Congrats, Vintage Pizza, you pulled it off--a place that is refreshingly cool for all lifestyles and palates.
