Although physically not very far away from Buford Highway, Verde serves up a taco joint for gringos with a large patio & kid friendly atmosphere. They pride themselves on their infused tequila margaritas.

Brookhaven’s answer to Atlanta’s beloved trendy taquerias, Verde follows the template of gourmet tacos, guac, and tequila-laden potables set in a neo-industrial space. Obnoxiously, chips and salsa don’t come free, though the thick, smooth guacamole is a nice step up. Heavy-on-the mix margaritas hide the premium tequila taste, so opt for good ol’ Jose concoction to wash down the soft shelled tacos offered in about a dozen different forms. The shredded pork taco is nicely complemented by tangy slaw and the short rib was tasty, though a bit mushy. Avoid the tastes-like-a-wing buffalo taco because at $3.50 a pop, you could find a wing joint and get more for the price.

Great Place. My friends and I go here on a regular basis! We love the atmosphere. The tacos and great and the staff is friendly!
