“He spent a lot of time talking to us about our needs and he had extensive knowledge of all of the appliances that they carried.”
“He said he also had a year old Dacor 36" dual fuel range that he would sell for a good price.”
Wonderful Buying Experience. We were recently looking for a new cook top and friends told us to call Guy Gunter Appliances. Our experience with them was fantastic. They truly listened to our needs and took the time to educate us on their entire product line. They were consultative in their approach and never tried to "close the deal". The entire process was professional and their follow up was meticulous. The installation couldn't have been any smoother. Also, their showroom was gorgeous! Good job guys!
Incredible Selection of Appliances. When my wife and I moved into our new house, we wanted the best kitchen appliances on the market and we were so happy to have found Guy T Gunter & Associates. Theron Gunter helped us to select a Sub Zero Refrigerator and a Wolf Dual Fuel Range. He spent a lot of time talking to us about our needs and he had extensive knowledge of all of the appliances that they carried. They had the best selection of appliances anywhere that we found in Atlanta. It's nice to run across a family owned company that treats their customers with so much care and appreciation. I can't say enough good things about Guy T Gunter & Associates.
Great Experience. It is uncommon these days to find a company who offers personal service that includes not only the appliances, but also timely delivery and installation, without the hassles. Their prices are competitive, and with this kind of service it's the value I've been looking to find.
Family owned since 1953.
My name is Theron Gunter; I am co owner of Guy T Gunter and Associates. Our business was built on customer service and over our 55 years we have not advertised. Most of our business is based on word of mouth. Our reputation has carried us for many years and is something we take very seriously. I recently noticed Mr. Pesuts comment and feel I should respond. At Guy t Gunter and Associates we have an excess of inventory that has collected over the years. In most cases it is obvious if a piece of merchandise is many years old, but not always. The cook top purchased by Mr. Pesut is a current model # in standard packaging. Mr. Pesut called us looking for a deal on a cook top and this is what he selected, at a price below our current cost. We assured him that the cook top would have a full factory warranty and would be free from any defects. When Mr. Pesut installed the cook top all of the burners worked except for one. He called our store and we placed the service call for him. Upon service the technician called the serial # into the factory and they responded with the products exact manufacturing date. This was relayed to Mr. Pesut along with the understanding that there was no charge, as the product was under a full new product warranty. Mr. Pesut called me immediately demanding a brand new top at the same price or 50% of his money back. I offered him his money back in exchange for the top as an option, but was rejected. We were unable to come to an agreement at which point he began to threaten me with lawsuits and slander. The cook top in question sells for $900; his purchase price was $500. I regret that issues like this sometimes occur and apologize to Mr. Pesut if there was a misunderstanding. At Guy T Gunter and Associates we look forward to serving you, like family.
Great Overall Experience..
Went to Guy T Gunter Jr & Associates looking for a 36" dual fuel range. They had all the big names to choose from. I spoke to Theron Gunter. He said he also had a year old Dacor 36" dual fuel range that he would sell for a good price. He said the unit was still in the box and was ordered as a demo piece but never got used. Left and did some research. Went back and decided to go with the year old range. It had all the documentation and the full manufacturers warranty.
The only small issue I had was that they don't accept credit cards. I expressed my concern to Theron about writing a check for the deposit and balance, and possibly not having any recourse if there was an issue. Theron assured me that there wouldn't be any problems and if there were, that he would handle them.
Left a deposit. Called back a few days later to schedule the delivery. They said I could pay the balance on delivery but I decided to go to their location to pay the balance. Range arrived when they said it would. No damage to the unit. Had the range installed by another vendor with no issues.
I would use Guy T Gunter Jr & Associates again. Would have given 5 stars if they accepted credit cards.
unethical. Misrepresented a GE cooktop purchased in 8/06 as being last year's model but new with manufacturer's warranty. Product required service by GE immediately after installation and a check of the serial number revealed the product was in fact 6 yrs old. Owner was completely uncooperative in making restitution.
