Terrible Customer Service from Restaurant GM, Katie. We just had a terrible customer service experience at Taco Mac with the GM, Katie. We went hoping to have a nice afternoon and to watch the UGA game. We got there 30 minutes early and the waiter, Ryan, promised that one of the 2 TVs near where we were going to sit would play the game .... so we sat down and ordered. The game started, but wasn't turned on yet. As I kept asking about it, Ryan finally brought out the GM of the restaurant group, Katie. Katie said they would not play the game because others wanted to watch different games and that Ryan should not have promised us anything. I explained that we only came there because the of what Ryan told us, and that we intended to leave. She then said she would call the police if we didn't pay our bill for the food that was just brought out. Katie's threat was completely inappropriate. During the ensuing exchange, Katie said that Ryan never made any such statement to us. Ryan then walked by and reiterated that he did, in fact, tell us that the game would be on those TVs, appoligized, and urged us to not leave him a tip (kudos to Ryan). I then asked to speak with Katie's boss. Apparently she is GM of the restaurant group. I asked for the owner's number and contact information. Reluctantly, she shared a phone number for Buzz, that turned out to be a general answering service. I asked several times for Buzz's last name and email.

Ultimately, I paid the bill and left without eating.

People like Katie give customer service a bad name. You'd expect more out of a restaurant GM.

You get what you pay for. I have been here a few times and so far it has been an enjoyable experience. The food is very good. I got the Hollywood the first time I went and went back for more. They have good wings,salads,nachos,and great entrees. I would recommend this place to friends and family.

The employees are nice and also respectful. The price of the food is very much worth it. Its not expensive in my point of view. Great service,great food,great environment, and great location(mid town). You should try it for yourself. It also a mix of a sports bar.

If you enjoy beer, then this would be the place for you, with so many selections.

great Place to watch Foodbal. I been many ,many times here and I am so exited to get once againe for a wile. They got what it takes to sale some cold beer ,but the service is slow in response.Otherwise is good to hang up whit friends of mine or by yourself.

The Original..... Taught ATL what Wings were all about!. We first visited the ORIGINAL TacoMac abor 30 years ago. The old place still has the "Best Wings in ATL" if you know how to order what you want. Mine come Hot & Dry (Crisp). The sandwiches, beer, nachos and salads are the bes anywhere. Visit the Original for the nostalgia, but now they are all over town and very consistent. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK !!!

Great beer and nachos.. Love the beer selection. Cann't find better in Atlanta, other than at other Taco Macs. They have great chicken nachos too. Not a fan of the wings though. Great bar ambience. Get there early -the patio fills up quick.

Great for Sunday Afternoon Football. I went here yesterday mid-afternoon with a few friends and we barely got a table because so many people were there to watch football. The patio was overflowing with people drinking beer, eating wings and watching the Falcons game. The atmosphere was perfect for watching football--enthusiastic fans screamed at the top of their lungs whenever a touchdown was scored and the attentive waitstaff constantly refilled our pitcher of beer and basket of nachos.

Best beer selection and very fast service. After a bad experience at Max Lagers, came here at 10:30 at night with two hungry kids and explained my frustration - my kids received their meals literally in less than five minutes. And the beer list satisfied my hunger - exceptional list, extremely friendly staff. Liked the noisy, upbeat atmosphere and multiple tvs with the latest game. Must be a great place to visit during college basketball season.

Great Wings/Beer Selections. This is a great place to watch sports, eat wings and drink MANY different beers on tap. In the heart of the Highlands, the wings are some of the best in town.

What... It's Taco Mac. I was surprised to read the other review as poor. Taco Mac is such an Atlanta chain with popularity and sports bar environment quite suitable to the south. I'm not a southerner, but I've gotten wrapped up in the fun behind southern love for SEC sports, football, and sports bars and pubs catering to that clientele.

They have great appetizers and marquaritas, but yes, it's a sports bar, not a brewery. I go for the environment, the great queso dip, and to have fun and be social. I hear their wings are good too.
