Tips for PetSmart

Can't review them because I can't get an appointment. I honestly cannot review this location because I cannot get an appointment. I have tried calling four times (different days) and have been put on hold for 5 minutes or longer. I actually drove over to this location just so I could tell the manager that I would be taking my business elsewhere. I hope they can make it with that type of customer service in this economy.

I feel like slapping the manager and grooming staff. I have a 10 year old mini-daschund that has been going to Petsmart off and on for about 5 years to get her nails done. There office has always been a wreck and they have high turnover in their grooming department, so you never know what you are going to get. But still, they'll do in a pinch--I thought.

After all these years of bringing "Peanut" in, they refused to cut her nails because we refuse to get her rabies vaccinated. The last rabies shot she had nearly killed her from an allergic reaction and it's not worth the risk/trauma. They refused to cut her nails.

Until the other day when we went in and they said they could do it once someone got back from lunch. An hour or so later, after we waited and waited and waited....they finally tell us they have to check with the manager. After telling us they could do it! The manager was incredibly patronizing as she said, "Oh, I am sooo sorrrryyyy"

Well, come to find out they clinic in the same building Banfield will cut her nails without a rabies shot and it costs the same amount...only you get a VET or Vet's assistant to do it. I can't believe how miserable the service is and they lost me as a regular customer and the five or six animals that I used to buy food for.

They are dirty, unprofessional, and their grooming salon should honestly be avoided if possible. Their staff could care less an they are without a doubt the worst stocked Petsmart in Atlanta.

Look at the other reviews and it is obvious that the management of this store is what makes it the worst Petsmart I have had the displeasure of depending on.

Noticeable Difference. I have been shopping at this Petsmart for years now. The store has not always been clean and the staff has not always been nice. But I have noticed a HUGE change in Petsmart's customer service, cleanliness, and expertise. The entire store, including the grooming salon, is under new management and you can tell customer service is their number 1 concern. I have never had any complaints about the salon and my pup's groom but I will say they have made strides forward. They are always clean and friendly! I personally love this Petsmart!

Horrible!!!. Shopping at this location since over a year, and usually find what I need. Nevertheless, as in any other store, merchandise might break or unfit for use. What you would usually do is bring it back and either exchange it or ask for a refund. NOT AT THIS STORE!!! Management showed no sense or capability to understand the most simple scenario, and refused to provide an in-store exchange, since product "could not be resold". Management appeared totally incompetent, and I am surprised that a corporation like Petsmart would employ this kind of staff. Luckily there are plenty of alternatives...

Terrible Customer Service Grooming Salon. Ok the only pros is the parking lot and store is clean. I have taken my dogs to the grooming salon there, on every occassion my dogs overall finish was sub par. The female manager of the salon has the nastiest attitude, she treats you like they are doing you a favor by grooming your dogs. I am now looking for another grooming salon, I'm not going to a huge pets store like Petsmart because they nickle and dime you for every little thing they do to your dog, and do a half ass job when grooming your dog.

I have had great experiences. I have had nothing but great exoeriences at this Petsmart. They have everything I need. The people at Banfield Animal Hospital (in the store) have been wonderful. Dr Freshwater has gone out of her way to discuss issues with my pet even after hours.

I feel bad that others have had such a bad experience because mine is all good.

I guess you are more likely to post negatives. I have never posted any review before, but I thought it would be fair to post the positive

ANGRY AGAIN AT PETSMART!. Today I went to Pet Smart on my lunch hour and when I walked in the door I asked the checkout clerk where the Sci Diet ID food was located and she directed me to it. It was on a shelf, not behind the desk, so anyone could just walk up and grab it. I then spent about 20 minutes talking to the adoption service people. Afterwards, I went to check out, waited in line for about 5 minutes, and then was told that I needed a prescription for the food. Why was it so easy accessible then? Also, why didn't the clerk tell me this when I asked her where the food was located? Anyway, I wasted my entire lunch hour on nothing! Gee, thanks! If you need a prescription for something, you should not be able to grab it from a shelf. That's like walking into Walgreen's and grabbing a bottle of valium from the anxiety section of the store. Also, hire more checkout clerks. The wait is always ridiculously long.

Go elsewhere for grooming.. Petsmart has all of the vitals, however, their grooming service is absolutely heinous. If you bring your dog in *with an appointment* in the morning, you'll be forced to leave your pooch for at least 6 hours in those tiny cages where they're scared to death. So, this time, we decided to take our pup in the evening, by appointment, a few hours before close. However, when we got our pup back, his haircut was ALL kinds of messy. His chest was shaved all the way down to the skin, and was very noticeably uneven on other parts of his body. It was just a downright poor job. They pretty much force you to either take your pet and leave it there for an unnecessary amount of time for a mediocre job, or you leave it there for a short amount of time and you get a pet with a mangled cut.
