Great Hidden Buckhead Restaurant. Just went to Mosaic for the first time last night with my wife and we had a fantastic evening. First of all the place is very charming as it very much is like walking into someone's house for a meal. We were seated very promptly and were treated great. We started with the lobster bisque and the kobe beef sliders with brie cheese. The soup was pretty tasty but the sliders were amazing! I highly recommend them. My wife had the salmon with brussel sprouts and I had the Shrimp Scampi with linguine. While the salmon was very good I have never had better tasting sprouts. It actually made the meal. My shrimp scampi was a bit vinegary for me but still quite good. I was impressed with the number of shrimp in my meal. The service was outstanding and very personable. We will definitely be back.
Worst Ding Experience EVER.
The food was decent but overshadowed by the extremely horrible service. A large birthday brunch group was told that there was no salad for brunch. So, we ordered and one of the items was the Mosaic "Omelette". The food took a long time to come out and it ended up being cold. The last person served was given the "Mosaic "salad", thought they didn't have salads. When told that the order was wrong, the waiter looked at a few others in our group that had the Mosaic Omelette and said that someone must have taken the wrong dish. And he said this out loud. We asked for the manager and about 10 minutes later, the sous chef came out, heard the complaint, and then he asked " What do you want me to do about it?" How about an apology for starters. Obviously, there was no manager. The Kitchen doesn't manage the back AND the front in any restaurant, EVER. It was a pity, because the omelette was pretty good when it's hot. It may be a decent place to go with a small group. But what could have been a great birthday brunch turned out to be the worst dining experience anyone has ever had. My advice is to avoid it and spend your hard earned money somewhere they appreciate their customers. Good food and good SERVICE is not a hard thing to find in Atlanta, but extremely hard to find in Mosaic.
If I could give it no stars I would.
Our favorite date spot!. My husband and I love Mosaic! This is the restaurant we go to when we're in the mood for an intimate, relaxing date night. We have always had wonderful service! The waiters always give excellent suggestions on food. The drinks are always great...I love the pear martini they have! They also have a great espresso martini - the perfect after dinner drink! I would highly recommend this restaurant whether you are a couple, going out as a family, or going out with coworkers. Also - Thursday's are great - they have live music playing outside!
BEST RELAXED GOURMET IN ATLANTA.
FLORIDA STYLE FINE DINING IN ATLANTA....NO PRETENSE, JUST GREAT FOOD.
GREAT WINE SUGGESTIONS, AND DAILY SPECIALS ARE EXCELLENT.
VISITED SEVERAL TIMES. FANTASTIC FILET & TUNA & SCALLOPS.
INTIMATE SETTING, BANANA CREME DESSERT UNBELIEVABLE W/ ICECREAM.
SERVICE IS NOT PERFECT, BUT ALMOST ADDS LIFE TO IT: FEELS LIKE A REAL FAMILY DINNER.
Terrible service, decent food. I was really disappointed with this restaurant after reading the reviews and seeing it on the list for best outdoor dining. The host was very dismissive as we walked in and the waitstaff continued the trend. We went for Sunday brunch. Although there were many unoccupied tables, the service was very inattentive and sloppy. We had to ask several times for bread and straws. The waitress seemed annoyed by our requests for service -- as if we were inconveniencing her by being there. The food was decent, but not memorable. I definitely wont' be going back.
Not worth the buzz, medicre food, unattentive staff. My boyfriend and I decided to try out this place for dinner based on the reviews, and we were extremely disappointed for a number of reasons. For the price ranges, the food was just mediocre along with really small portions. We felt like we had only eaten a snack. The hostess was really rude seating us, and our waitress was really unattentive, not asking at all if we needed anything at all (she even forgot to give us napkins). Even though our waitress apologized, we expected way better with the service and food if someone is to pay $20 -- $30 an entree. We've tried restaurants with way better food with excellent service at cheaper prices. I highly recommend spending your money elsewhere. You're mainly paying for the atmosphere and food aesthetics.
Great Brunch !. The location is great. The brunch is good. My friends and I really enjoyed the food and the service. The restaurant sits off the street away from busy Buckhead ......you almost forget you are in the city. The free parking and cozy ambiance are also a plus.
Buckhead without the Buckhead. I love this place more and more each time. It's in a great location in the Buckhead area, but it feels so much more secluded and doesn't have all the Buckhead hype. The lamb is incredible, the service is so friendly and the atmosphere is wonderful. I've gone here for special occasions and regular nights out and this place has fit the bill each time. Dinner is always top notch and brunch is great, too. The first time I went was for the Thursday night specials - $5 martinis and appetizers on the patio with live music. It's great to sample some of the dishes and certainly got me hooked. I always look forward to my next visit!
Great special occasion place (not stuffy). We made our reservations through opentable and indicated we were coming to celebrate an anniversary. The hostess greeted us with a happy anniversary wish, and seated us at a secluded table, as we had requested. Our waiter, Jonathan, was very nice - not too pushy and not too quiet. We decided to skip appetizers and we ordered a couple of glasses of wine, the filet mignon and the fish special. Several minutes later, our waiter surprised us with 2 fried green tomato appetizers as a special anniversary treat on the house. Next came the yummy bread with honey/herb butter. Our entrees were quite good (by this time we were pretty full). We decided to have dessert, and Jonathan brought out a large plate with "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate sauce for us. We would definitely go back for a special occasion. This is a restaurant that has the quality (and price) of food of a typical nice restaurant, without the stuffy, be-on-your-best-behavior feeling that some nice restaurants exude. Our anniversary was acknowledged by each person that we came into contact with - a nice change from some other special occasions we have celebrated. We will definitely be back!
Great Outdoor Dining. I had the wonderful opportunity to dine with a special friend at this place and it fit the occasion perfectly. We had the opportunity to sit outside and the weather and company around us were outstanding. From where we sat, we had the opportunity to hear the music but not be overwhelmed by the sound. We also got to see the artist's expression and clearly hear his songs as well as his one liners. On this particular night the Chef/Owners wife was called in to help with the service and it was our good fortune that she was. She waited on us and gave us the history behind the place and recommend some dishes and pairings that were right on the mark. We enjoyed the overall experience and would recommend it to anyone looking for a spot to have a wonderful meal and listen to some great music.
