NYC-legit pizza in a no-nonsense Marietta location.. In Short
It seems that all of Atlanta’s ethnic delights are found in holes-in-the-wall either off Buford Highway or curiously located in Marietta. Not that authentic New York pizza is ethnic, just that it is amazingly difficult to find the real deal. Enter: Saporito’s. It is nothing fancy, just a small little restaurant with a couple of booths and tables run by a tri-state native with a heavy northern accent. The pizza is thin, covered in gooey cheese and light sauce with chewy dough that tastes like it includes famed NYC water baked into it. That’s it. There is no goofy “Bada Bing” poster or cliché Sinatra music blaring, it is just no nonsense pizza and calzones. It is absolutely delicious and could be mistaken for a Manhattan pizzeria any day.

Wonderful Authentic NY Pizza. Saporito's is my favorite pizza place in the world - and I am originally from NY! Gary and Steve make a MEAN pizza! Delicious every time! My husband and I had our first date there and continued to go there EVERY weekend for 4 years (until we moved)!!! We even had Gary cater our rehearsal dinner for our wedding! All of the food is fabulous and Gary & Steve (the owners) are very personable. (They are both from NJ). They are located in the Marshall's shopping center on Roswell Rd (Marietta) between the Atlanta Bread Company and the cleaners. Tell them Christine & Cory sent you!
