My experience with Metro Valet was frustrating to say the least. I purchased a table in October after getting an estimate from Andrew. The estimate itself took over a week and several phone calls and emails on my part. Repeated calls and emails regarding when the table would arrived were left unanswered. I was in constant communication with the seller, who was as frustrated and disgusted as I was. Hoping for the table by the holidays was a waste of my time. Finally on December 20th I received a call from Raquel in the billing department asking why I hadn't paid my invoice. When I explained to her that not only had I not received my table, but my calls were going unanswered, she apologized and had the driver call me directly by the end of the day. The table was delivered on January 2nd. I would never consider using them again and would suggest to anyone contemplating dealing with this company that they look elsewhere.
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - Consider yourself warned!!.
I've had a very unfortunate experience working with Andrew at Metro Valet. I am very sorry to say that I have no choice but to take my business elsewhere, strictly because of how he treated me.
I think it's helpful for you to know the back-story, so that you can see the full extent of his poor customer service. To begin, I purchased a coffee table and a mirror in Atlanta about a month ago and requested that it be delivered to Charlotte. I tried for the next 3 weeks to get a quote and time frame from Andrew. Each time I spoke with him, he was short, rude and not helpful. What's more frustrating, he went out of his way to make my experience difficult. Each time on the phone, he said I can't help you today, but call me tomorrow - or next week - and I can "deal with you" then. He also told me that he would have information on price for me 'tomorrow' and repeatedly told me when I called back the next day, that he had a chance to speak with you about "everyone else" but me. He directly implied my business wasn't important to him. Had he just told me upfront how much it would cost, and when we could schedule the pickup/delivery, this would have been a very simple agreement.
When I called back yesterday, as he requested, Andrew informed me that he had already picked up the table from the showroom at America's Mart. Since he had not yet provided me with a firm quote (which again I was waiting on for 3 weeks), I had not yet agreed to the service. I was very frustrated that he picked up the table without getting my approval, and had proceeded with my request, without my consent. However, all of that I would be more than willing to move past, had he showed any respect or care in the way he spoke to me. He was abrasive, cutting me off, screaming and entirely unprofessional.
As part of this order, I needed Metro Valet to pick up from two well-known furniture companies. I called both of them for recommendations on who else to use, and it was very surprising to me that they both asked when I noted I was frustrated with Metro Valet, if I had been trying to work with Andrew. It's become very clear to me that you have a fine company when it comes to delivery, but so many people are frustrated with Andrew and his unwillingness to help customers in a fair, honest and straight-forward way.
I realize that one coffee table and a mirror (my order) is very insignificant in comparison to the size of other orders you process. I realize that this is my first time requesting service from Metro Valet and that I am not a long-standing customer. But still, it is so sad to me to see how poor of service Andrew provided to me. Had he been polite, honest and willing to help in any way, this would have been a very different story.
I hardly ever send reviews like this, but feel so strongly that you should know about Andrew's attitude and the impact on this business. A simple Google search for his name (which he wouldn't tell me, but was later confirmed), shows that he is infamous because of the way he has treated people long before my call last month.
